The blanket is obviously based off the Big Bang, which doesn't make me want to collect the dogs. I'm a Christian, I believe that God created the world and the universe in the Creation, located in Genesis. But anyway, they just doesn't appeal to me, because of this. It is slightly offensive, but Captain Kaycee, you really did do a wonderful job overall of the planet pups. I am pleased with the adult outcomes so far.
Actually the blanket design is nothing more than an illustration of an atom ;)
It isn't meant to indicate anything more specific, I suppose it was simply supposed to symbolize that it's a "science litter".
Y'know, as in, everything is made up of matter, and atoms are a unit of matter... Well, you get the idea ^^
It was probably the easiest way to give the pups a fitting blanket without giving away just what exactly they're supposed to be.

1) The blanket looks more like an atom than anything to do with the Big Bang.
2) Just because you don't believe in something or like something, doesn't make it offensive(and if it does then you have serious issues to work out), especially when no one is forcing you to believe.
Something with a science-y theme like that is no more offensive than the Hanuka themed pets/items we get. Because with that logic anyone who doesn't celebrate it should be offended by it.
It doesn't appeal to you ≠ offensive (by that logic I would be offended since the Hanuka pets don't really appeal to me, but ya know, I'm not).

this post... They're planet dogs. That enough to confirm it? XD
So basically they've stated that Pluto isn't a planet and the litter is planet dogs. Of course, that doesn't guarantee anything, but that's what I was referring to about the hint.
Which of course raises the question what the heck is it then. Because all the other 'planets' in our solar system are dwarf planets like Pluto and, by that extent, wouldn't be counted for this. I wish it would hurry and grow up though. *prods dog*
Pluto's still a planet to me though :p

I guess there's still the potential of a dog that represents all planets?
(and Pluto will always be a planet to me too ;D)
I'm

Unlike what seems like the vast majority of CS, I wasn't thrilled about these when I adopted the newborns. I'm not usually fond of rainbow-themed litters, because so far they've never really turned out in a way I liked. So I assumed these would be no different.
But whoo boy, did they surprise me. I'm in love with them. The choice of colours, the markings, everything.
And I guess that puts me in the minority once again, because it seems like a lot of people reacted negatively to this litter as it grew.
I guess I see where these opinions come from, but for me it's the opposite. I love that the colours aren't too vibrant, I'm pleased with the simple design.
Somehow the stripes remind me of watercolours x3
The only thing I'm worried about is the gray kitten; I really doubt at this point that it's going to stay monochrome, although I would really have loved that. But who knows - maybe I'll love how it turns out in the end, so I'll be patient ^^
I'm with you on this, but when I first adopted them I was just so happy that we actually had cats to think about what I wanted them to be. I guess I was hoping they wouldn't be actual rainbows, especially since there were so many cats to adopt that I felt that it would become too repetitive after the first couple of cats. I definitely like how they turned out, I guess I'm a fan of the more simple but not necessarily natural designs (rainbows are natural, rainbow-coloured cats are not XD)
I keep thinking of watercolors too. If you look at the layers on Green's tail, you can see some watercolor effect. And Yellow's stripes look all wobbly, as if they were painted on top of another layer of wet paint, same with blue.

Grow, kitten... grow...

Okay, I see it now. Though, now it raises even more questions in my head than before XD Hm, but I wonder if that one theory of it being the a Milky Way or something might be right..? Wait, never mind, that's not a planet.
No, there are no more planets... ? Gah, the suspense is killing me!
Do you think the last one might be the sun? That's just my way out of the ballpark guess but I would love to see that.

I mentioned their stripes reminded me of watercolors a while back, after the first two had grown I think. x3 I think all of them have a part on them that makes me think of watercolors, such as the red one has some places where the color looks almost smeared a bit. :3

No, the artist has said no sun, because there's already been a sun dog
Captain Kaycee wrote:~ParaKitty~ wrote:I remembered seeing

As a sun pup a couple pages back..
Or just an outcome guess
Just so you guys know (and don't have to ask anymore) there will not be a sun dog in the litter because this dog has already been released |D
