A lot of people are thinking it'll be Pluto and a PPS because of it being a dwarf planet and how Mercury was also a PPS.

Wasn't it already hinted that the last growing planet pup wouldn't be pluto?

Where was this hinted? I'm not saying your wrong, but I haven't seen anything whatsoever that hints toward it not being Pluto.

They said in this post
sorry guys but Pluto isn't a planet anymore. XD

and they said in this post
... They're planet dogs. That enough to confirm it? XD

So basically they've stated that Pluto isn't a planet and the litter is planet dogs. Of course, that doesn't guarantee anything, but that's what I was referring to about the hint.

Wow, this month really is/was a weird one for me.
My predictions and expectations got thrown all over the field, in a good and a bad way.

    Image Image
I have a little like-dislike relationship with the planet litter.
Planets were a theme I've wanted to see done for a looooong time now, so the moment it became clear what these dogs are based off, I was one happy person. But I'm not entirely sure what to think of the litter as a whole.
On one hand there's outcomes like Mercury and Saturn, which turned out very beautifully. In fact, I think Mercury is my favourite, unless one of the three still growing pups somehow end up surpassing it. It's detailed and I like how the colouring turned out. Mercury is certainly not one of the planets that people would call "interesting", at least not compared to, say, Earth or Saturn. But the pup's got personality, and I like that.
And I think it goes without saying that Saturn turned out beautifully. The rings are a welcome addition, and the colouring is spot-on. Simply gorgeous.
On the other hand, I'm very disappointed with Jupiter. After seeing the first of the pups grow (Mercury), I've had high expectations for the rest, because I expected a similar level of detail for them.
Jupiter is quite the beautiful planet. I've always liked the way the colours swirl into each other. I mean, look at how gorgeous it looks.
The dog, however, barely shows those red/orange bands, instead almost only displaying the beige and brown parts. If it weren't for the Red Spot, the design wouldn't remind me a whole lot of Jupiter.
The colouring style looks less detailed than what we've seen on Mercury. And if the second stages are anything to guess by, Uranus and Neptune will be going the same route, which is a bit disappointing for me, seeing how they're my favourite planets.
Don't get me wrong, I can see how others would enjoy the style - it's just not my cup of tea, and it's unfortunate (for me) that it had to happen with a theme I always wanted to see.
But I do love Mercury, Earth and Saturn so far, and can't wait to see which "mystery planet" is hiding under the last newborn x3

    Image Image
The mixed feelings continue. I've been skeptical about this litter because I personally don't really like the Sortics. But the combination looked good, and DisabledLlama's last 2nd Gen litter was absolutely brilliant IMO, so I was curious to see what would be done with the designs here.
I don't know. There's two outcomes that I really like - the black/orange and black/red ones. But the others simply don't appeal to me at all. I guess I just don't dig the overload of swirls and dots on them. It didn't actually disappoint me, because looking at the parents it was clear what to expect. I just don't really like these outcomes. *shrug*
The black/orange one is a beauty, though. I had the highest hopes for that one, and wasn't let down the slightest.

    Image Image
I have nothing else to say than that this litter fully lived up to my expectations so far. It's gorgeous, and although my favourite has yet to grow, I think it's safe to assume that I'm gonna love it, because I loved all the other outcomes.
    They're beautiful.

    Image Image
I'll freely admit that I thought I'd dislike the rats when I first saw them. The newborns didn't really appeal to me much, despite the colour combo (I think it goes without saying by now that I love red).
But they turned out great so far. My favourite's got to be the one with the stripes, because it reminds me of one of my favourite rat designs:
    Image
But they're both cute. I think I'll do a minihoard of them, actually. They look nice in a group.

    Image Image Image
Unlike what seems like the vast majority of CS, I wasn't thrilled about these when I adopted the newborns. I'm not usually fond of rainbow-themed litters, because so far they've never really turned out in a way I liked. So I assumed these would be no different.
But whoo boy, did they surprise me. I'm in love with them. The choice of colours, the markings, everything.
And I guess that puts me in the minority once again, because it seems like a lot of people reacted negatively to this litter as it grew.
I guess I see where these opinions come from, but for me it's the opposite. I love that the colours aren't too vibrant, I'm pleased with the simple design.
Somehow the stripes remind me of watercolours x3
The only thing I'm worried about is the gray kitten; I really doubt at this point that it's going to stay monochrome, although I would really have loved that. But who knows - maybe I'll love how it turns out in the end, so I'll be patient ^^

    Image Image
...And I don't own the horses at the moment, because I gave my full newborn set away to a hoarder, but I like how these turned out as well. The two above are my favourites, but I like them all. I'm in love with that shading style, although I still hope we'll see it used on some fantasy designs as well c:
I expected these horses to look great, and they do.

I'm with you on this, but when I first adopted them I was just so happy that we actually had cats to think about what I wanted them to be. I guess I was hoping they wouldn't be actual rainbows, especially since there were so many cats to adopt that I felt that it would become too repetitive after the first couple of cats. I definitely like how they turned out, I guess I'm a fan of the more simple but not necessarily natural designs (rainbows are natural, rainbow-coloured cats are not XD)
I'm Sagaline on Flight Rising as well. If you can't find me here I might be over there.

Okay, I see it now. Though, now it raises even more questions in my head than before XD Hm, but I wonder if that one theory of it being the a Milky Way or something might be right..? Wait, never mind, that's not a planet.

No, there are no more planets... ? Gah, the suspense is killing me!

The planet dogs slightly disappointed me. The coloring is alright, I like most of them, but some of the colors are muted. Overall great job, but the blanket surprisingly disappointed me.
The blanket is looks like it is based off the Big Bang, which kind of throws me off... I'm a Christian, I believe that God created the world and the universe in the Creation, located in Genesis. It is only slightly offensive to me , but Captain Kaycee, you really did do a wonderful job overall of the planet pups. I am pleased with the adult outcomes so far.
