Asphodels are a type of bush, and the name refers to its flowers, which are yellow before blooming into a vibrant orange. I would suggest going for either Golden- or Asphodel-.

It's all right. I think that Asphodel- sounds a bit girly, so Goldenfang would probably be the best name for him. Right?

I was trying to explain that on page 94 that they were a flower.
They live near marshy place, and grow yellow flowers before *I think* sprout fruit of some type. I'm not entirely sure. May want to look that up, but I have seen them before.
i've quit CS,

Question; what prefixes would be best for a dark gray cat with only one or two white markings, and a faint gray tabby?

Bumble!! ^•^

Kindly don't answer questions for me. We've had this sort of thing before and it never ends well, especially since Bumble- isn't a traditional name.

To answer your question, Hazel, I would suggest Storm-, Shade-, Ivy-, Fly-, or Cinder-. Fly- in particular tends to fit a smaller cat, but those are a few of the options.

      Okay, thank you!

Striking off a warrior's name because it sounds "girly" is suggested against. Warriors don't share the same system of naming that we do - they don't have names exclusively for boys or girls. The name describes what the cat looks like. That's the only requirement of a name for a warrior. Whether it's Daisyheart the tom, or Tigerfang the molly, as long as their name accurately describes them, nothing else matters.

If anything, I'd say challenge yourself and give him what you perceive to be a girly name. At worst, people will ask what an asphodel is, and at best, you've stepped up your game in the gender-neutral naming category and made some personal progress. Give it a shot, see what happens!

That's actually extremely useful information. Now I know what an asphodel is, and where it is, now I know how to spell asphodel as of this conversation.

Personality/Skills: Rookfur is quite unsociable, which makes him much more tuned into his surroundings. Since he isn't very good with other cats, he can appear snappy and rude. This is actually not the case, he just doesn't know better. Hes a generally well rounded cat, and average at most things.

Important Notes: Blind

Did I miss this? My apologies.

Name Rating: 10/10
Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: How many times do I get to see someone willingly use the -fur or -pelt label? Absolutely never. This is a very pleasant surprise. Anyway, the name fits him just fine!
Alternative Name: None.

Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: The big issue here is the blue eyes thing. I'll explain why with a quick biology lesson.
There are two types of genes: recessive and dominant. Dominant ones, obviously, will always appear before the recessive one - for example, having brown eyes is a dominant gene, while blue eyes are recessive. In the case of a brown-eyed person and a blue-eyed person having a child, the child will have brown eyes, because that gene is dominant. The only way the recessive gene is likely to show up is if both people have blue eyes. Recessive plus recessive = recessive. Anything else = dominant.
Likewise, blue eyes on a cat are a recessive gene - there's a reason most blue-eyed cats were specially bred. A regular black-colored cat anywhere is unlikely to have blue eyes, never mind a wild one, since blue eyes are recessive and only appear in special circumstances, usually special breeds or a pure white cat (keep in mind that this means the cat is deaf). If I were you, I would go with green instead of blue. Green is more realistic, and more likely to appear on a black cat.
