"No. I'm tired." Peachtail curled up with her tail draped over her nose.

Peachtail flattened one ear. "Then why did you come with us if you were just going to have kits?"

"It was before you told me about Leopardtail," Meadowbreeze responded, curling up and falling asleep.

[Cradily]

Peachtail slept for a little while. When she awoke, she had worked up a small appetite, but she walked right past the bird and into the medicine cat's den to check on Meadowbreeze. "Meadow?" she whispered.

Meadowbreeze blinked open her eyes. "Yes?" She replied.

[Cradily]

"Hi." Peachtail smiled. "I just came to see how you were."

Speckleddawn awakens from her nest where she had previously been resting. "Oh, Meadow, You're awake?" She blinks open her eyes, looking over at the she-cat. "Would you mind if I check you for bruises and bones? If everything's in order, You should be able to leave the medicine den." She mews.

Meadowbreeze smiled at Peachtail before turning to Speckleddawn and nodding, "Sure, thanks!"

"Erm...uh...I also wanted to ask you..." Peachtail lowered her voice so that only Meadowbreeze could hear. "I understand that it would probably be best for you to stay here until the kits are born, but...after that...?"

Meadowbreeze's face turned from joy to uncertainty. "Well...."

Speckleddawn looks over at Meadow and blinks, then goes to the exit of the den. "I'll be right back." She mews, a signal for them to go ahead and finish their conversation.
