Sunnydog- I did mention under the true hairless that most "hairless" dogs have hair all over their body, but I didn't want to put a picture up because I didn't know if there was a size limit for posts, and I had already taken up a lot of space. I am so happy that you saved a dog and made sure he went to a good place that will take care of him! =D

Bluecookie- Daisy is SO cute! I tried a sweater too, but I live in a desert so it's still hot, and she scrached right through the sweater. I'm glad that I could help you with the sock idea. =)

~pitbullpride~ I did know that cresties got blackheads and pimples. In fact, Lotus(my Chinese Crested) has one on her shoulder and one on her hind leg that need attention tonight before I go to bed...

They have the perfect jackets for Cresteds here at my local Big Lots, they are little silk chinese style ones. They are actual chinese silk with faux fur trim, very beautiful If Kathy is still fostering Hippy at christmas I'm going to send one for him.

PS The crested in your siggy, looks exactly like the puppy for sale at the vets office down the road from me.

I saw those at my Big Lots too, and I thought the exact same thing! I didn't get one though.

I found this in a geocache a couple of months ago. I was really surprised and gleeful as I didn't even know anything like this was made. Turns out it was a Mcdonalds happy meal toy for the movie Hotel for Dogs. It still makes me happy.

Really? Why is the vet selling the puppy? Does he always sell puppies?

Yes, they always have puppies for sale, all breeds and mixes at very high prices. Chances are they are puppymill dogs too. I do not use this vet because of this. We were in there the other day as only a few will see a rabbit and my husbands is in need of having her nails cut.

not being mean or anything but they are just not the pet for me even though they are the best for some...something about the breed is just not my cup of tea.

I have a few breeds of dogs that arent my cup of tea either it just so happens chinese crested are one of them :?

Renki- I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you were honest, and you're right. The Chinese Crested isn't right for everybody.

Sunnydog- Wow, I've never heard of vets selling puppies. I've heard of them keeping homeless dogs for a few weeks and looking for them to be adopted, but that's a different story. I wouldn't go to that vet either.

I think its a small breed thing....I mean yea some are cute and everything but in all truth small dogs arent for me. I just dont know how to work with smaller dogs well..medium to gaints are my tastes because I have worked so long with them. Though when it comes to smaller breeds I think I stress because they are so tiny and easy to scare because we are so big that I might hurt them and I am scared of that. There have been planty of times I have had large things in my hands where I couldnt look down and tripped into my dogs...I fear if I did that to a small breed of dog it might kill the poor little things O.o

The little guys tend to learn quickly to stay away from our feet/legs, specially if we are carrying things. Sunny is smaller than the typical Crested and he's very good about not getting underfoot. When I did have Hippy here he would stay away from the front of my legs but he would follow right behind and occasionally lick the back of my calf.
