Does anybody have any methods on how to convince your parents to get you Mine Craft? .-.
I'm supposed to maybe possibly get a /real/ computer because we are redoing my room and stuff. If I do get a real computer (I'm stuck with an ancient Frankensteined mini laptop.) I really want to be able to play MC on it. I am a complete Mine Craft nerd. It's weird, my parents are willing to spend money on MC merchandise (Posters, stickers, a 14 month calender) but not on the game. Do they even realize the combined price of the merchandise is more than the price of the game?
I also kinda want to start a gaming channel on You Tube but I can't really when my laptop won't support games and my parents won't even get MC on the family computer (which happens to be a /real/ computer.)

So how did you guys convince your parents to spend money on Mine Craft?

it was my own money i spent and my dad had heard about it before so I just told him that its a sandbox game about building things and exploring xD
dont think that helped very much but oh well, sorry

does anyone know any new-ish survival servers?
not that very many people on, minimum plugins ect.

Same as Zatch Bell, I bought it myself. If you can save up your own money and with the approval of your parents, download it onto your computer, thats what I would do C: Also for recording for a gaming channel, remember that you need a microphone and recording software, which can range from free/near free to expensive. Fraps, the most commonly used gaming recording software, is $37 for a registered version.

And also, you need a lot of RAM space to run Fraps to record Minecraft- it's 10 minute video files usually take up 3+ GB of memory.

Basically what I'm saying is make sure your computer and software is up to specs before deciding on any purchases that might not work out in the end, because I paid for Fraps myself recently and am finding my computer has about a 7 minute recording limit with Fraps, so I sort of wish I had the $37 back. At the same time, it is a super convenient program, better than most and all of the free ones.

Mum didn't want me to get it and she and my dad are separated, so I wrote this page-long persuasive thing asking if he could download the trial on his Mac and dad said he was so impressed with my writing he bought me the full version xD

A little bit like KitKat, my parents are split up but I dont see my dad.
However after I pestered her I gave up and just added it to my Christmas List.
Because I had done well in my schoolwork recently she rewarded me, shockingly, with Minecraft the Full Version.
