She shrugged and finally smiled, "Yeah, I guess it's a little...daunting. It freaks me out a little," she admitted.

"Don't worry. Everything'll be normal to you soon," Miranda reassured her.

[Ancient]

Gwen managed a smiled, "I sure hope so. I never would've imagined...all of this. I mean, Poseidon being my father?" She blew out a disbelieving puff of breath. "On the bright side, I'll get to try lots of new things!"

[wanda.]

Annabeth kept walking silently behind them.

[shybot]

"Have you got a weapon yet?" She asked, remembering the questions she was asked as she first joined the camp.

[Ancient]

"No, none at all...I'm sort of afraid I'll end up hurting someone with one," Gwen admitted.

[shybot]

"You'll need one. Just get a sheath, or a cover that makes you need to pull on it twice to let you think about actually hurting someone," Miranda smiled. "It's not the weapon, it's the handler. Come on, let's go down to the weapons shed."

Miranda picked up her crutches and stood up, leaning on them.

[Ancient]

Gwen bit her bottom lip and nodded uncertainly. "Okay..." She followed Miranda, going slow enough so that she could keep up on crutches. Gwen was actually pretty excited. She'd never had a weapon before!

Miranda hopped along to the weapons shed and opened the door for Gwen. "Celestial bronze guns, knives, swords, bows, a lot more," She smiled a little.
