Has your dæmon ever taken a form that surprised you? Has it ever taken one that made you feel uncomfortable in a way?
not really. ger and i don't focus on forms much anymore, so he's always a nebelung cat. and I control what form he takes, so i can't really be "surprised". and uncomfortable? well, he was a coffee cup once...

Muri hasn't really surprised me with any forms, yet. (just before I was going to post this he became a pen.)
Whenever I try to project him as an animal larger than a house cat, I usually feel uncomfortable, as if it doesn't suit him. He usually stays as an albino rat, but he will try other forms sometimes.

His sudden change to an American mink surprised me at first but now were stable as it. That reminds me I need to read up on the form a little haven't done much research on it.
At first We just took the form as a joke because at that point we were stable as a snowshoe hare but yeah American mink kinda stuck ... Haven't been comfortable changing out of it since

Just a note to remind folks that the form you project your daemon as has no bearing on the animal which best represents your personality. They are separate, not connected. You can choose to project your daemon as anything you want - it can change as much or as little as you like. If you choose to project your daemon as the animal which best represents your personality that's up to you, just remember it has no influence on your character. Daemons don't "settle", neither do their forms. When we talk about settling we're talking about the personality traits of the human being.

Oh yes, I know, I just sometimes enjoy projecting my dæmon as the same creature my form is. =) Usually his appearance falls back to his default normal squirrel form but lately I've been projecting him as an otter to go along with my new form. Does your dæmon change much or do you like projecting him/her in one form most of the time? Usually I'm more comfortable with the latter but its nice to see Chi change a bit just for the sake of shaking things up.

I'm pretty sure she is settled, though she sometimes wishes she could change. She is often sarcastic, and loves to mess around with people. I am a wolf therianthrope and my dæmon here is a jackal thingy with elongated ears, but his other form is a raven. His name is Soleriol, but I call him Sol. He has golden eyes and black fur/feathers in whatever form he takes.

He usually takes the form of a binturong (and we're both pretty sure he'll eventually settle as something of that sort) but has plenty of other comfort forms ranging from a graceful welsh mountain pony to a mysterious leopard to a stupid, floating bowling ball among others.
