What Are Hooded Dragons?

Hooded Dragons, affectionately dubbed Hoodies or HDs, are a recently discovered type of Eastern Dragon. Their faces are constantly shrouded with hoods (Humans have never have figured out where they get them). They wear these hoods to protect their eyes, as they are excessively light sensitive. Too much time without their hood could result in permanent eye damage. They never show their faces to anyone except those closest to them, such as their owner or mate. Hooded Dragons are omnivores; they enjoy fresh meat and fresh fruit, and they love to steal human treats, even though it's not very good for them. Hoodies are roughly as tall as a human being at the shoulder (6 feet), big enough to be ridden. Since their discovery, many people have begun to take them on as pets. They don't require much work, just lots of love, trust, and good food. They are warmblooded, but prefer hotter temperatures. In prime conditions, they can even breathe small jets of flame that can be literally any color. If you can get close enough to your Hoodie, perhaps they will trust you enough to show you their face.Rules;; If you get 3 strikes, you will be on probation, if you get one more strike then you will be banned.
1. Do not, in any way, steal the Hooded dragons or any of their designs.
2. Do not pester the artists or I to make more designs
3. Do not whine, complain, guilt trip, suck up, or bribe the artist or winner to get a Hoodie
4. If an artist is taking a long time to judge, do not bump the thread. They may be busy. If it takes over two weeks to be judged, PM me and I will talk to the artist.
5. Please no spam.
6. Be polite, treat others how you would like to be treated. We're just here to make characters and have fun, guys

Terms and Facts:
Adult Male Hoodies are called Drakes.
Adult Female Hoodies are called Dames.
Baby Hoodies are called Chicks, and a group of Chicks is called Chicklings.
Fathers are called Sires and mothers are called Dams.
A group of Hoodies is called a Flock.
A group of eggs is called a Clutch.
They reach maturity after 1 year, but grow throughout their lives at a much slower pace.
Hoodies can live for an undetermined length of time.Physical Traits of the Hoodies:
They can have anywhere from 2-6 legs. Their front legs are very much like hands and only appear on Hoodies with 4 or 6 legs. Their middle legs are more paw-like and not as dexterous, though they can still grab things. These appear on dragons with 2 or 6 legs. The back legs are pawlike and not able to hold things at all. They only appear in dragons with 4 or 6 legs.
They can have short manes that end near their shoulders, medium manes that end halfway down their back, or long manes that go all the way down their bodies.
Hooded Dragons have no visible ears, they listen through their hollow horns, which magnify sounds into their eardrums, giving them excellent hearing. They also use vibrations in the earth that they feel with their paws. Their hearing makes up for their poor vision. They always have some form of horns, currently only two are known- the Long horns and the Curled horns.Curled horns tend to be a rarer trait.
Hoodless dragons (Dragons with no hood) are always blind, and generally very bad-tempered. Humans found that taking the eggs from the mother before they hatch results in blind chicks. They speculate that the mothers cover the chicklings' bodies until the father can get a hood for them. Blind Hoodies in the wild are extremely rare. Even Hooded Dragons with a Hood intact may be blind, whether through old age, an accident, overexposure to lights, or through genetics. If the father or mother is blind there is a one in 50 chance of the chick being blind at birth. Hooded Dragons tend to be extremely unpredictable towards anyone who is not their owner, though some exceptions apply. Can you tame one of their wild hearts?
