Pricking my ears from where I lay curled, I look around with my one eye. I howl a quick answer, 'I am here in the camp. Is there something the matter?'

fiasco smiled slightly and raised her head again 'nothing is the matter just kinda lonely, mind if i join you?' she lapped up so more water before clumsily walking towards the camp's center and inhaling the air, of course she smelt echo. she looked over to the fresh-kill pile and noticed there was a few things there so there was no need to hunt at the moment. she sat to wait for echo's reply.

I blink my good eye and poke my nose out of my den. Sure enough, Fiasco sat in the center of camp. Someone, seeking companionship from me? I think to myself. I shrug, and make my way to her. And for the first time, I was self conscious of my blind left eye.

"hey echo!" she barked quietly happy that echo had come out. she looked down at her paws. "what are you doing all alone in your den?" she asked looking up again and then looking away hoping she wasn't invading echo's privacy by asking this. she licked her lips slightly because they were dry.

I perk my ears in surprise then sit down slowly. "Well, I don't have many friends." I confess, looking at her with my one eye. "And the others stare at the scar over my blind eye."

fiasco sighed. "i don't have many friends either so don't feel bad." she told her. "and your scar doesn't bother me or freak me out, whatever happened, happened it's in the past now." she told the other female leaning forward and poking her snout to echo's cheek in a comforting way.

I blink in surprise, and fight my instinct to growl or pull away. This was the first sign of affection I had been shown in forever. "R...Really?" I ask in shock. "It doesn't weird you out, or make you feel pity for me?" I ask in a choked whisper.

"yes i feel a slight pity but i can't change it and i understand that." she admitted mumbling to her. she pawed the ground slightly. "it really doesn't matter many different wolves have different defects it's just yours is on the outside."
