She stalked closer. Sniffing, trying to locate it, she launched herself forward. Silverpaw snapped her jaws down on something furry. YES! She thought. Squealing with delight, she mewed, "What is it?" And dropped the prey.

Rosepaw started coughing. "I-I...I feel the clan pulling me back" she said, then she disappered.

Finchstar nodded. Go swiftly and bravely, find who you really are.

Softpaw started crying. "Finchstar! Where is my mama going?!"

"Hush now." Flametalon moved to his granddaughter. "She has work to do."

Softpaw shook her head. "I wanna go home with Mama! Why did she leave?!"

Finchstar turned to the young cat, his apprentice. "Rosepaw never got her choice, it was decided by StarClan. She may be back soon-if her choice is to follow a different path. But if she chooses the same path, it will be many moons, and your mother will not be the same cat."
