Your specimen has been processed and we are now ready to begin the test proper.Before we start, however, keep in mind that although fun and learning are the primary goals of all enrichment center activities, serious injuries may occur. "For your own safety and the safety of others, please refrain from-- " Then the language the robot is using turns from english to spanish."Por favor bordón de fallar Muchos gracias de fallar gracias" I cannot understand a word of it so i just ignore it. "stand back. The portal will open in three, two, one." A bright orange outlined oval appears in front of me an i can see the reflection of myself and the room inside it. I jump through it but i am soon reminded by myself "Curiosity kills the cat." I seem to appear outside the relaxation vault and i walk forward and around the corner until i get to a circular shaped door which opens up in front of me. I see a large red button and walk over it and a dispenser drops a cube with the aperture science logo on it. I run over to it, ignoring the warning signs and pick it up with my beak and place it on the button. "Aha!" I walk out the door that has opened and see an elevator like object with blue particles surrounding it. I hear the robotic voice once again. ""Excellent. Please proceed into the chamberlock after completing each test. First, however, note the incandescent particle field across the exit. This Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grill will vaporize any unauthorized equipment that passes through it - for instance, the Aperture Science Weighted Storage Cube." "G-Grill?" Nervously i step in and nothing happens. I sigh with relief. An orange portal appears and i can see the cube on the other side. I run and attempt to jump in the portal when it disappears and i slam beak first into the wall. "Agh!" I yell when i impact the wall. After regaining focus i wait for the portal to appear again and jump through and it closes behind me. I notice that i jumped through the wrong portal so i wait for another. I jump back to where i started and see the portal with the cube appear again. I jump through and i manage to get in before it closes, barely missing my hind paws. Once again i am relieved, close calls everywhere in here. I grab the cube and wait for the other portal to appear and jump through, This time it clips the end of my tail. It wasn't as painful as slamming into the wall but it did hurt and i was missing a lot of fur. The portal appears with the button and i jump through, It would've clipped my tail if it hadn't already been clipped the last time. I land on the big red button and drop the cube. I turn around and try to exit the confined face when once again i slam my beak into the wall. I rear up on my hind legs and wave my paws in the air and shake my head, it hurt worst than the first time. While i sit there in pain the portal opens again and i manage to jump through without injuring myself. I go through the circular door and step in the chamberlock and the elevator takes me up. "You're doing very well! Please be advised that a noticeable taste of blood is not part of any test protocol but is an unintended side effect of the Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grill, which may, in semi- rare cases, emancipate dental fillings, crowns, tooth enamel, and teeth." I hear the robot's voice as i walk out of the elevator feeling dizzy, I have a fear of elevators. When i regain control i look out the glass and see the next test. It looked advanced but i proceed on. I walk through the door, jump from the ledge and see a gun like object.I go over to it and notice there is a bracelet that has some sorta clip. I grab the gun with my beak and clip it to my bracelet on my right front leg. "Very good! You are now in possession of the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device. With it, you can create your own portals. These intra-dimensional gates have proven to be completely safe. The Device, however, has not. Do not touch the operational end of The Device. Do not look directly at the operational end of The Device. Do not submerge The Device in liquid, even partially. Most importantly, under no circumstances should you - The information is told to me as i enter the elevator, although it was followed by static and then cut off completely. "I guess its malfunctioning." I say to myself. I step out of the chamberlock and look around at the test before me. "Please proceed to the chamberlock. Mind the gap." I see a stair case leading down on the right side. I shoot a portal and go through it, It lead to the same place i started. I turn and look at the orange portal and realize, I use the blue one to shoot to the other side and then step through the orange one! I aim my paw at the other side of the chamber and shoot the blue portal and step through the orange portal. "This is a clever system!" I walk through the door and into the chamberlock. As i go up the elevator i hear the robots voice, for now i will just say 'her voice' since it sounded feminine. "Well done! Remember: The Aperture Science Bring Your Daughter to Work Day is the perfect time to have her tested." I am confused by that reminder. "Aperture Science bring your daughter to work day? Well then, I will just ignore that. I say to myself and continue through the elevator. "Welcome to test chamber four. You're doing quite well." I stand on the red button and see the door open on the other side and the orange portal behind me. I look closely at the test chamber and see the cube dispenser. "That must be where i get the cube to put on the button." I walk off of the button and across the chamber where i see another ledge, i jump down grab shoot a portal, and grab the cube with my beak and head out the portal. I place the cube on the button and run to the other test chamber and then out the door. I hear her voice again as i make my way to the elevator. ""Once again, excellent work. As part of a required test protocol, we will not monitor the next test chamber. You will be entirely on your own. Good luck" The test chamber was hard to finish it was complicated work and a lot of falling off ledges, it was a lot of fun. Of course that was sarcasm... "As part of a required test protocol, our previous statement suggesting that we would not monitor this chamber was an outright fabrication. Good job! As part of a required test protocol, we will stop enhancing the truth in three, two," That was followed by static and the cut off once again.. I was getting an eerie feeling... I look up and see a portal sealed by glass, i shoot at the ground and fall from the ceiling and fall to the ground. I got up and shook the dust out of my fur and went through the door ahead of me and into the chamberlock elevator. I walk into the test chamber and look around. "While safety is one of many Enrichment Center goals, the Aperture Science High Energy Pellet, seen to the left of the chamber, can and has caused permanent disabilities, such as vaporization. Please be careful." I see odd machines and one on the left with a energy ball going back in forth in an infinite loop and one looked powered off although there was a beam of light going up to the ceiling. I shoot the blue portal on the ceiling and see the energy ball fall through and land in the machine seeming to give it some sorta power."Unbelievable! You, Subject Name Here, must be the pride of Subject Hometown Here."I arrive at the next test chamber and it is the same as the last but a little more challenging, I shoot a portal at the right side of the wall and the energy ball goes through but i do not see it activate the other machines they just activate Warning devices are required on all mobile equipment. However, alarms and flashing hazard lights have been found to agitate the high energy pellet and have therefore been disabled for your safety. Good. Now use the Aperture Science Unstationary Scaffold to reach the chamberlock.". Then i look around and see a moving platform. while the platform is on the right side of the room i shoot it at the left corner of the ceiling and fall through managing to sprang my left back paw. I ride the platform and limp over to the chamberlock elevator and ride it up to the next test. "Please note that we have added a consequence for failure. Any contact with the chamber floor will result in an 'unsatisfactory' mark on your official testing record followed by death. Good luck!" The word death echos in my head although i refuse to quit. I figure out the energy pellet puzzle and shoot the portal at the floor and come out from the orange portal. I shoot the blue portal on the other side of the chamber and wait for the now activated mobile platform to appear under it. I hop through the portal and land on the edge of the platform and scramble to get up. I loose grip on my paws and i hang from my beak. With all my effort i use my hind legs to kick the under side of the platform and boost myself up to the top, Thank god i survived this time. I get on to the safer side of the platform, Wait, I forgot there's nothing safe here. I limp onto the bridge that leads to the chamberlock and go into the elevator. "Very impressive. Please note that any appearance of danger is merely a device to enhance your testing experience." I stumble out of the elevator panting and thinking that i am barely alive, i continue on, I must be crazy. "The Enrichment Center regrets to inform you that this next test is impossible. Make no attempt to solve it." "Its more than likely a trap." I say to myself. I shoot a blue portal at the floor and grab a cube with my beak and jump through. I land on the other side of the orange portal with the cube in my beak. The Enrichment Center apologizes for this clearly broken test chamber."
"Once again, the Enrichment Center offers its most sincere apologies on the occasion of this unsolvable test environment. Frankly, this chamber was a mistake. If we were you, we would quit now. No one will blame you for giving up. In fact, quitting at this point is a perfectly reasonable response. Quit now and cake will be served immediately." I set it down and shoot a portal at the wall and jump through the orange portal and land on the other side of the blue portal."They're testing me, I must not give up! They are putting me under pressure and trying to make me give up and i will not give up!" I remind myself. I go through the particles shoot a blue portal at the wall, go through it, grab the cube, go back through it, and place it on the red button. I walk into the elevator and go to the next test. It was complicated."Hello again. To reiterate [slows down] our previous [speeds up] warning: This test [garbled speech] -ward momentum." "Um... What!?!" I had to shoot the portal at the wall and jump through it, The momentum of me jumping made me fly to the staircase, but not with out spraining my right left front leg, I was still able to walk but it did hurt. So now here i am, I have two sprained legs a beak that hurts, a lot. Oh well i guess i will just have to deal with it so i shall continue on. I say to myself. I ignore it, surprisingly and continue to the next part of the test. I step through the door and another part of the text begins. I walk to the ledge and shoot a blue portal and jump down into it and i am launched across the chamber. I go through the door once again. "Spectacular. You appear to understand how a portal affects forward momentum, or to be more precise, how it does not." I start to get the hang of it, I shoot a portal at the extending T shape and then jump down into the portal below me. It launches me to the other side of the room but i am hanging off the edge. My paws are slippery and i loose my grip. I use my beak to grab hold of the ledge then i use my hind legs to boost me up, It works once again. "Too many close calls." I get back on to my paws and the T shape's rectangle is extending. I shoot a portal at it and jump from the place i was just boosted over to, Into the orange portal i went.""Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: Speedy-thing goes in, speedy-thing comes out."
" Immediately i was boosted to the other side of the test chambers. The sound of my paws clattering trying to slow me down as i slide into the chamberlock and right into the elevator door, It opens and I fall into it hurting my head once again. I crawl into the elevator and scramble to my paws as it goes up. I shake my fur of dust and sit down as it takes me up.The elevator shakes, which makes me nervous I've always been afraid that the wire that takes it up would snap and i fall to my death. I shiver from the thought of it and walk out the chamberlock, the elevator door closing behind me. I walk up the tests into the next chamber it was confusing, I didn't know which way was up and which way was down. I shoot a portal and wait as it powers on the 'energy switch', Thats what i call it. I climb up the stairs and wait for the portal gun to shoot the other way then i hop into the blue portal and come out the orange portal. "Brilliant!" I wait for the platform to come and i sit on it, my tail twitching back and forth, It gets to the big square in the middle of the testing chambers and i leap. "Ooo Another gun!" ""The Device has been modified so that it can now manufacture two linked portals at once. As part of an optional test protocol, we are pleased to present an amusing fact: The Device is now more valuable than the organs and combined incomes of everyone in Subject Hometown Here." I shoot a blue portal behind be and one in the room in front of me. I jump on the moving platform and ride to the other side, and then I jump in the blue portal. it teleports me to the chamberlock and i hop into the elevator waiting for it to take me to the next test chamber. "(garble) fling yourself. (garble) fling into sp- [bzzt] Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee[bzzt]"I shoot a portal on to the extending platform above me and shoot a portal down below me. I jump through the orange portal which was below me and i am boosted from the blue portal onto another part. I do this two more times until i have to deal with the storage cubes once again. I shoot a blue portal at the platform behind me which seems to be tilted so i fling up. I jump down into the orange portal and get flung to where the storage cubes were. I pick one up and jump on to the black platform below me and the cube falls into the orange portal below me and is flung into my head by the blue portal. I am unconscious for an hour or so when i finally wake up and the cube is on the red button. Once again i jump down and fling myself up to the storage cube area and go through the now open door and to the test chamber i go in the chamberlock and watch the elevator doors close around me as i am lifted to the next test chamber.
"Now that you are in control of both portals, this next test could take a very, VERY, long time.If you become light-headed from thirst, feel free to pass out. An intubation associate will be dispatched to revive you with peptic salve and adrenaline." I shoot a portal at the wall and then at the corner of the wall where the ceiling meets the wall. I come out of the portal and appear at the bridge like walk-way. I take the storage cube, jump down, put it on the red button, and go through the blue portal and come out the orange portal which is near the next door. I go through the door. I jump from the higher platform all of the sudden the camera turns towards me and the red light on it blinks, startled i jump and onto the ground. I see an orange glow on the ceiling and set my blue portal there and my orange portal to the left of me where there is a burnt mark from where the energy orb hit the wall many times. The energy orb powers the device and the platform where the storage cube inhabits starts to move. I place my blue portal on the ceiling above the platform and my orange portal below me. I wait for the platform and then jump and i land on top of the cube and slip, thank god all four paws of my paws were still on the platform. I jump off the platform with the cube in my beak and place it on the ground and shoot a portal at the ceiling above the red button, then i shot one under the cube and it landed on it. I did the same with the other button but this time it was me falling from the ceiling and on to the red button. The door to the next test chamber opens up and i place a portal inside it and then one on the ground beneath me. I jump down into the portal and appear in the chamberlock, I watch as the elevator doors once again surround me as i am taken to the next test. "As part of a previously mentioned required test protocol, we can no longer lie to you. When the testing is over, you will be missed."
