No. Dragon Crisis is a supposed real world anime but had magic. There are a group of people who collect and categorize Lost Preciouses dine of which are cursed but all hold magical power. It takes place after a son of two famous searchers is pulled into the business by his cousin. He never wanted to, but is dragged in by his cousin after she located one. It turns out to be more than they can handle...

it's a dragon.... One of my friends screamed at me when I told him that. Could you not guess that? It's the name of the anime... Also it happens before the first advertiser break...

A lot of animes have first-episode shocking revelations. Like (sorry) Fullmetal Alchemist, for example, although we don't learn how metal the protagonists are until AFTER the ad breaks.

I've seen parts of Berserk. I think I've watched two or three episodes of the anime. From what I recall, the plotline is good enough and I think it has a couple of good morals in it. But Berserk is known for blood and gore. Now that I'm older, I should probably revisit it....

Btooom is also pretty good, I cleared the whole anime in a few hours. It's quite a bit like SAO, but it's put more into a human light. It does have some pretty mature content though.

@Naala: I'll watch the videos as soon as I get on my laptop. Kindle is dumb. :p
