Rowanstar could see the rebel leader tiring, unlike Rowanstar it would just take one death for Talonstar to die. "Gifted you." He spat whipping all thoughts of killing from his mind, he would only do that if it was needed. "Do you know what the suffix -star means to the clans, Talon? Do you? It means given nine lives by StarClan and you talk about being blessed. Dapplefoot was a traitor, a murder, you nor your other rebels deserve to hold warrior or apprentice names." He growled lashing out with a strong jet of water from his paw, both his claws slashing and the water getting more powerful as it got closer to Talonstar he doubted the rebel leaders skill but not his ruthlessness.

She instantly ran off on Talonstar's command, this could be her chance, her chance to finally become a warrior. Glad that neither the warrior nor leader had seen her she sprinted to where she had heard the sound of the call. Seeing they had gone she slowly gathered their scent. It took a while be she soon found the smell of herbs, a she-cat and a tom creating a trail. Following it will mouth opened she approached the medicine cat and her apprentice from behind. She created another one of herself out of shadows and let small sparks appear at her paws. Air at her paws clumsily pushed her forward but she landed on the back of the medicine cat and let her claws sink in while her sparks littered the back of the she-cat while the shadow of herself landed on the apprentice.

Smokestreak is a lithe, thin individual. With only one eye, the older tom has learned to live and care for himself. Despite such a hindrance, he thrives as a shaman, and it is often questioned as to why he did not originally follow the warrior's route. This male is named for the fires that razed his family's previous lands, forcing them to leave and encounter the clan. Having lost his eye to Stormclan, one would think he would be bitter over the whole thing. He has taken a seemingly indifferent stance upon the subject, though his ties with the rebel 'clan' is obvious. Having learned how to deal with most illnesses through his travels and conversations with fellow loners, he was more than willing to offer up his skills to Talonstar. It is often claimed that he is of equal skill to the Stormclan medicine cat, Shadowstripe-- however, he merely shrugs such comments off and returns to focusing on what he deems important.

Easily displeased, he runs a tight ship with his apprentice, seeking nothing more than to heal those injured and protect those wounded. Quick witted and sharp of tongue, his comments often go unnoticed, despite their bite. Claiming complete and utter intolerance to stupidity, he will be the first to claim that another cat has done something wrong-- even to Talonstar himself. Such brash behavior has led to few questioning his methods or choices, a characteristic often reserved for actual medicine cats.

{{. All the apologies. Dx Life just gets so in the way sometimes… You'll have to pardon my posts if some things don't quite match up with what the other posts say; I did my best but couldn't study all of them ^^'

╔══════════════════╗

ʙʀᴀᴄᴋᴇɴsᴛʀɪᴋᴇ

╚══════════════════╝

A weak smile of relief passed through Brackenstrike's face, thankful that his attacks had finally managed to even the score between them. Well, "even" wasn't quite the word; this was more along the lines of a moment to recollect. The blood around his face had slowed and begun to dry, allowing him to open his eyes more and take in the scene around him with greater clarity. However, his relief was short-lived, and Hawkblaze soon sent up a shadow wall that prevented the tabby from offensively defending himself further.

He had been focusing himself entirely on Hawkblaze and Smallfoot's reflection that he hadn't realized the real Smallfoot sneaking behind him, instead using the lull in attacks to prepare himself defensively from an attack from the front. When Smallfoot's reflection revealed itself as a deception, Brackenstrike tried to whirl around, but it was too late: Smallfoot was upon him, sharp claws gripping his pelt with intense ferocity, and a sharp pain from below sent the tabby warrior crumpling sideways to the floor. Determined not to give up, he bared his teeth at the black and white cat and propelled a series at rocks towards her from beneath, trying to knock her off or at least wind her enough to gain the upper paw.

It was certainly more than a relief to see Spiderfang, and despite the unfortunate situation, managed a polite smile. "Spiderfang — yes — I'm fine; thank you. Be careful," he warned, unable to talk much more than that as he focused on ridding himself of Smallfoot's attack. The rock wall around them burst, and Brackenstrike used that temporary distraction to kick violently at Smallfoot with his back legs, hoping the rebels would begin to back off now that two were more evenly matched.

╔══════════════════╗

╚══════════════════╝

Rowanstar's warning to the rebel leader both emboldened and threatened him; here came his leader to his aid, and yet, if he were only a better fighter, he wouldn't need saving. His pride throbbed and as he began to realize that Talonstar was merely playing with him, began to regain control of his fear and fight back with more ferocity. He'd show him — and yet the little rats surrounding him and nipping at his sides nearly rendered him incapable of fighting well and he was left to squirm under Talonstar's grasp and struggle against the stinging shadow-creatures.

At Rowanstar's arrival, the white apprentice was released, but the rebel's parting words wrenched his face into a snarl. "Get out of here, white filth, before my claws do real damage." That did it; this battle was not over yet. StarClan forbid he let that flea-pelt Talonstar get away. As Blazerunner joined them, Mintpaw felt even more empowered, though a spark of worry caused him to flinch inwardly as he caught sight of his mentor's wounds. They looked painful… Had his arrival caused her to become distracted, or had he saved her from worse injuries? Guilt gnawed at his stomach, and he prayed it was the latter.

Creepy shadow animals began to spread from beneath Talonstar's paws, and Mintpaw's insides twisted slightly at the sight of the rats. He took it upon himself to destroy the shadows, given that the warriors would likely be busy trying to fend off the massive cat's attacks. His white paw stretched out and swept at the vermin, watching Talonstar as he leapt and sending a burst of air in hopes that he would knock him off-balance before he reached Blazerunner and Rowanstar.

╔══════════════════╗

ᴛᴀᴡɴʏᴘᴀᴡ

╚══════════════════╝

Well, with the clan leader heading over to take on Talonstar, and Blazerunner following suit to take care of her apprentice, Tawnypaw felt significantly better about his brother's fight with the rebel leader. While they weren't quite out of the woods yet, Mintpaw would most likely get out of the fight all right. Tawnypaw couldn't help but be optimistic — there isn't much a young, frightened medicine cat apprentice can do otherwise. He watched cautiously as the cats threw their attacks at the massive black tom, seemingly able to hold their own, and slowed his pace so that he wouldn't get in the way but would be able to be at their side in an instant if necessary. After all, being a medicine cat wasn't about not fighting… was it? It was about helping the clan, yes? Besides, he wasn't a great fighter; there was always the risk of his powers getting out of hand, so having him as a last resort was safer for everybody involved. Satisfied with his justification, Tawnypaw looked around to see if his mentor was anywhere. He needed something to do.

"Something to do" ended up coming to him, and not quite as the tawny-furred apprentice would have preferred it to have. Tawnypaw heard a faint sound from near his brother, where his hearing had been completely focused: "Yes! . . . kill the rat and his . . .!" He wouldn't have really been able to do anything even if he had heard the message in its entirety, but trying to decode it proved to his disadvantage. All at once, there was someone upon his mentor, and another assailant dug its claws into Tawnypaw's pelt.

Crying out in shock and a twinge of pain, Tawnypaw whirled around to face his attacker, but found nothing there — only a few remaining wisps of blackness that vanished in seconds. A shadow! He gritted his teeth against the fire sparking within his jaw and turned to Shadowstripe, eager to help her as soon as she gave the word, though he didn't want to offend her by implying that she couldn't take care of this rebel apprentice by herself.

╔══════════════════╗

ᴄʀᴏᴡᴘᴀᴡ

╚══════════════════╝

Crowpaw watched in horror as Brightmoon raced to Robinpaw's aid, eyes wide in fear for the young apprentice. She certainly didn't look good, last he'd seen of her condition… But with Brightmoon to help her, it seemed as though everything would end up all right. For now, Crowpaw had to focus on the rebel in front of him, who Moonthroat valiantly attacked in defending Fawnpaw and hastening her return to her own apprentice. At Moonthroat's command, he nodded, though he couldn't help but send out a shadow to hang over their opponent's vision and turn the tides strongly in Moonthroat's favor. It was the least he could do, though he did fear the she-cat in that she might be offended as he tried to help. Hopefully, she'd see that it was just his attempt to feel helpful.

As the rebel warrior fled, Crowpaw's attention turned to Robinpaw, anxious that neither the apprentice nor Brightmoon had emerged from the den yet. Fawnpaw, however, soon caught his attention, and he flinched with pity for her current situation. She was always so bouncy, so eager, constantly moving and helping others; this disability was clearly a letdown for her. She looked so dejected. "Will you help her for me?" A slight frown was evident on his face, and he stammered, "I can't, Fawnpaw… I can't leave you here. That would be insane… Don't worry, she'll be fine, I know it." Comforting words, sure, but Crowpaw had never really been in a situation in which he was to do the opposite of what someone he cared about so deeply asked him to.

Fortunately, Fawnpaw didn't have to wait long. Moonthroat leaned down and picked the red apprentice up by her scruff, aiding her in the traverse across the valley to where Robinpaw and Brightmoon were. In an attempt to help, Crowpaw padded at Fawnpaw's side, offering for her to lean against him for support… or was it his fear that she'd be hurt worse that made him stay so close to her? Regardless, they soon reached the warriors den, and Crowpaw winced at the condition of his clanmates. Anything they needed, he'd get — he just needed instruction. His fellow apprentice and warrior were clearly hurting, and he slowly began to notice small injuries on Moonthroat as well. He felt the slightest bit guilty; was he not fighting hard enough to protect these cats and share in their wounds?

Blazerunner
52M | She-cat | Orange Tabby (Fire) | Stormclan | Senior Warrior | Mintpaw(Apprentice) | No Crush | Tagged: Talonstar, Mintpaw, Rowanstar

Blazerunner knew that the comment from Talonstar wouldn't have much effect on her leader, Rowanstar. When the tom leaped, she glanced to her apprentice before noticing the look of concentration. She added a fireball into the blast of wind that Mintpaw sent at Talonstar and with the extra oxygen, the flame roared to even bigger life. A powerful flame attack that was combined with the air of her apprentice coming from Talonstar's side and a powerful blast of water coming from the front, all while he was in mid-leap, was going to be a devastating attack. He could probably dodge one but not the other. She quickly moved to Mintpaw's side, spikes of flame lashing out at different vermin. She knew the Rebel Leader was panicking and that he'd likely retreat soon. He would have no choice but to at this point.

She glanced to Mintpaw. "How are you holding up, Mintpaw?" she asked, glancing around the battlefield at the others. She hadn't even noticed that Talonstar's apprentice had gone off after Tawnypaw and Shadowstripe as it was out of the blind side of her vision, her left side vision clouded in a haze of red from the blood that leaked from the gash around her left eye and her orange fur was matted with blood on her left hindquarter, a shallow gash seen. They were the only injuries she managed to sustain though and that was saying something all things considered. She had gotten lucky that her eye was left undamaged; the gash was above and around her eye. It would definitely be somewhat swollen shut for a few days though once she was treated.

Brightmoon
27M | She-cat | Silver Tabby Tux (Air/Water) | Stormclan | Warrior | No Apprentice | No Crush | Tagged: Fawnpaw, Moonthroat, Robinpaw, Crowpaw

Brightmoon smiled at Robinpaw as she finally came to and nuzzled the young apprentice. She glanced to her twisted front leg and winced as she attempted to move. She smiled at Robinpaw reassuringly. "I'll be fine Robinpaw," she replied to the obvious statement. She watched a red poppy grow anyway though and chuckled. "Thank you for your generosity but I'll save them for after the battle ends. I don't feel like falling asleep in the middle of it," she licked the top of Robinpaw's head in a gesture of thank you, glad for the worry and help though she would be fine, pawing the poppy seeds to her for now.

That was when Moonthroat, Crowpaw, and Fawnpaw soon joined her. She looked to Moonthroat and gave a mewling laugh. "Maybe I should somehow learn to switch our minds so you can be me," she teased back with a hint of her own smirk before wincing some. She looked to Crowpaw gently then who seemed like he could use a job. "Can you go and find Shadowstripe and Tawnypaw for me and help her if it's needed? I know these Rebels will likely try to kill them if they can, being the dishonorable rats they are. Besides, I need my leg popped back into place and I'd rather it be done by them, not to mention Fawnpaw could use some help with a twisted paw. Just try to avoid any fights along the way that could deter you," she told the black apprentice.

Smallfoot
31M | She-cat | Tuxedo (Shadow/Air) | Rebels | Warrior | No Apprentice | No Crush | Tagged: Hawkblaze, Brackenstrike, Spiderfang

Smallfoot hissed in triumph when she landed on the brown tabby warrior's haunches and sunk her claws in deeply, raking them some across his hindquarters. The shadow spikes wounds didn't go that deep though since they could only go up so far but they provided her with the distraction she needed. She kept gripped onto the brown tabby even when the new brown warrior came to help him. She reached to slice her claws against Spiderfang while keeping gripped to Brackenstrike as she hissed but the sudden burst of the rockwall caught her offguard and gained her even more bruises and small cuts. She was soon winded by a powerful back kick by the warrior that let her release him and she rolled away, a very shallow gash in her stomach that thankfully wouldn't be life-threatening for her.

She sprang up to stand, getting lucky enough that it was after the bursted rock wall attack that she wasn't hit even more. She was also just in time to avoid the flames of her Deputy and she moved back over to his side, heaving some as her stamina began to run low with the use of her powers. She glanced to Hawkblaze before over to her brother, worry spiking through her. "Talonstar!" she cried out at seeing the attacks. She slammed a paw on the ground immediately and sent a shadowy streak from her own shadow, a shadow wall forming up to block at least half of the fiery wind attack while she sent a gust of wind to toss the water away from her brother with a swipe of her other paw. She was happy that at least half of those disastrous attacks had been averted.

{ Tis fine, Syd(: Also, Stormpaw can faint now and in his next post Talonstar will come after Tawnypaw. Then we're off to camps! }

Talonstar was mid-air when he cringed in fury. Hearing his name without the ending of 'star' made his fur stand on end. Then he saw the water, air and fire all dashing toward him and his stomach barely had enough time to drop when the power off all three was lessened drastically. A shadowy wall interrupted the blazing, fiery orb, just barely knocking it off balance. Air shot forward and sliced through Rowanstar's watery jet.

Talonstar didn't have time to figure out who saved him as the fire connected with his chest. Burning pain shot through the black tom as his once forward momentum became a backward thrust. The water was quick to follow though and it dosed out most of the smoldering pain on his chest. The tom looked at the damage as he lay in pain and found a bloody spot of missing fur. He hissed loudly, though he was thankful that this was all the damage he had managed to get. He stood on his paws and glanced around the area, his eyes landing on his senior warrior, Palethorn. He often consulted the tom and he thought that a good idea at the moment.

His yellow eyes glanced at Rowanstar and he grinned wickedly then dashing in the opposite direction toward Palethorn. Talonstar coated his own fangs in shadows as he neared the duo and he was quick to bury his teeth in Emberflower's scruff. He threw her as hard as he could away from himself and yowled, "Be gone, little flower!" then turned to Palethorn, "We have to get our warriors out of here." The tom looked back, hoping Rowanstar wasn't tailing him though he highly doubted that.

The tom rose his voice so that all his warriors could hear him, "Retreat, Rebels of Dapplefoot. Find our home and go find Smokestreak!" The tom lashed his tail as he began looking for his own apprentice, Stormpaw. He couldn't afford to be wasting this precious time though...

Fawnpaw was about to stand and hiss at Crowpaw with all the anger she could muster when she felt teeth on her scruff. Luckily she never vented any of her anger at the apprentice and she instead directed it at Moonthroat, "What're you doing?!" She wiggled as much as she possibly could, keeping her injured foot away from the ground, "I'm not a kit!" After a moment though, Crowpaw appeared next to her and this helped calm her immensely. She settled a little, though she still wiggled in discomfort and embarrassment.

They made headway to the warriors den and the moment Fawnpaw was set down she let all of her weight fall on the black apprentice. His fur tickled her nose and for a moment she was lost in his smell before she jerked up and coughed a little, "Uh, sorry.." Her eyes were quick to move to the warrior's den where Robinpaw and Brightmoon sat. She gasped lightly and slumped back against Crowpaw, not caring anymore if it made him uncomfortable.

Her ears fell back her eyes were an array of emotions; anger, hurt, confusion, "Why would they do this to us..?" Fawnpaw was oblivious to the past, she never retained the memories of the elders, never really.. believed them. Even then, the idea that such a cruel cat would go out of his way to avenge an aunt long dead befuddled Fawnpaw. The small apprentice sat speechless as she listened to her clan-mates. When Brightmoon asked Crowpaw to leave her and go find Shadowstripe she was conflicted.. she couldn't bring herself to beg Crowpaw to stay by her side as much as he brought her comfort, so she simply sat up and smiled lightly.

Her feelings toward the apprentice confused her and she chose to ignore them as she looked up at Crowpaw, "Hurry.." then moved over to Brightmoon and laid herself next to her in a position that wouldn't mess with her ankle anymore.

Spiderfang was glad to hear Brackenstrike mutter his thanks and the tom quickly attempted to help him with Smallfoot. The she-cat managed to land a few swipes on the warrior's shoulder, adding to his littering of wounds but Brackenstrike managed to dislodge her. He was about to turn to Hawkblaze when a fiery ball blasted him in the side. His hips shot away from him but Spiderfang dug his front claws into the dirt, keeping himself as close to his clan-mate as possible.

He was about to stand when another of the fiery blasts landed on his chest. This sent him spiraling a few tail-lengths away and the tabby lifted his head in a daze. He should've listened to Brackenstrike better.. maybe then he wouldn't be laying here useless. The earth using tom shook his head and gained as much of his conscious back as he could before running back to the scene. He was quick to notice Smallfoot's distraction and he launched several small rocks toward her, not trusting his own aim at the moment.. he'd rather trust several rocks more then a singular one.

The tom's ears twisted when he heard Talonstar's call for the retreat and he grinned. They had lived.. His green eyes landed on Hawkblaze in a fury, "Go running back to your leader, you rat!" The tom stood hissing while his whole body shook. He was having a hard time standing and he still hadn't noticed the patches of fur Hawkblaze's attacks had managed to sear onto him.

Moonthroat
31 Moons
Stormclan
Warrior
Air
Mentoring Robinpaw
Crushing on Spiderfang
With Brightmoon, Fawnpaw, Crowpaw, and Robinpaw
At Camp, in the Warriors' Den

Brightmoon seemed to have a good plan, and Moonthroat nodded in approval that Crowpaw should go and fetch Shadowstripe. It made sense. He was small and quick. Moonthroat's bright fur would get her noticed instantly. Crowpaw had much better chances of slipping through the fighting without being detected. Besides, he was the only one who hadn't gotten himself hurt.
She was starting to feel her own wounds, now, and sat down for a moment to swipe her tongue over a raised paw and the scratches that covered it, staining her fur crimson. Moonthroat's white pelt contrasted sharply with the blood, making her injuries appear worse than they really were. The collection of small scratches were irritating, but held no immediate danger. As long as she avoided infection, she would be fine. Most of them probably wouldn't even scar, and those that did would likely be covered by her thick fur anyways. Naturally, light injuries meant that she could still fight.
"Right. You three stay here, then.", she said to Brightmoon, Robinpaw, and Fawnpaw, with an apologetic glance to the latter, as Moonthroat remembered the apprentice's vigorous protests to being carried.
It honestly hadn't occurred to her how insulting that could be.
"I suppose I'd better go see whose tails need saving, now."
Her tone changed to one of exasperated duty, as if she was some tired Queen picking up after a rowdy batch of kits. Moonthroat made her way to the den entrance, just as a raised voice carried a message to her ears. That fox-hearted Talonstar was calling for a retreat, and Moonthroat puffed out her chest in pride that she had contributed to the victory.
      "On second thought..."
She was about to make some sarcastic remark about the battle being 'too intense' for her to intervene after all, but trailed off, distracted as she scanned camp for signs of any clanmates that might need an extra paw in breaking away from their opponents.

S M O K E S T R E A K
L O C A T I O N ; rebel camp
T A G S ; all returning rebels, Talonstar
W O R D C O U N T ; five hundred fifty nine

He is tired of waiting- has been so since long before the others left. An impatient creature; someone has bled the world of its beauty some years ago, and even now he can feel the reverberations of vivid colors and rich, gorgeous hues. But in this moment, with the bitter touch of anger on the air, he cannot think of anything but the great pits of villainous rage that festered within the very blood of the rebel group.

No one had ever told him as to why Talonstar's relative had done what she had done. Perhaps it did not matter. But the true villainy of Stormclan and those within it had been proved to him, in these ages that he knew with the same way that he knew his own body, his own steps when they fell as leaves upon the hard-packed earth. Piles of herbs litter the area, weaving through them and rechecking the amounts. He has no time to heal every injury on his own- it is possible for the cats to use the herbs on their lesser injuries and await his attentions. It is the best he has been able to muster, in the short time since Talonstar had informed him of his plans. It had been a small effort not to swipe the younger tom across the face. Now was hardly the time for an attack. They were still amassing strength, still feeling out the concept of being led by one cat such as him. He feels nothing here but the dry, rapidly dispersing left overs of whatever patience once existed within his heart. Someone had stamped out the flames in his heart, despite their existence still beneath his paws, when called. So it is hardly any surprise that he finds it difficult to accept anything but that he deems fit of this world. And so little of it does pass inspection. He would feel bad for the treatment of his apprentice when the cat deserved it.

❝ It would be much easier if I knew just as to when they would be returning, ❞ comes the comment, intoning in a seemingly bland voice as to the grandiose absurdity of the situation. As if he had a right to speak on the subject, seeing as he was forced to remain behind. But sounds reaches him faster than light-- he hears them long before they come, ears swiveling suddenly as the old tom's body went perfectly still. It takes a moment that stretches into minutes and hours before his consciousness as he awaits the first wave of injured. It is only upon their arrival into the rebel camp that he begins to speak once more.

❝ Scrapes and burns off toward the stream and Talonstar's den. Apprentices come first, warriors after every last apprentice is inspected and returned to their den. ❞ A beat passes, singular eye gazing out at the situation as the cats fanned out around him. Some seemed to be in better a state than others, blinking minutely and cataloging who to look after first and who would not be needing his care, this wretched afternoon. He would have to have a word with their leader, whenever he deemed fit to make himself known to the shaman. His bones practically ache as he mentally prepares for the trials to come, sighing in a great gust of disapproval.

Palethorn found himself breathing hard as his daughter launched blow after blow at him. She was stronger than he remembered her being and her stubborn nature made her a formidable opponent, even if her technique was not quite as good as he thought it could be. Even the gusts of air he kept sending Emberflower's way were not enough to push her back. Gritting his teeth, he snarled at her, determined to get his revenge for her abandonment of the rebels. He had told her they would be leaving the Clan and she had agreed, only to betray him at the last moment.

The memory gave him strength and he launched himself at her, the wind propelling him up and over her so that he was behind her. Before she could turn, he grabbed her tail in his jaw and pulled, hard. She screeched in pain, whirling around and growling deep in her throat. Palethorn felt heat near his face and could smell his whiskers burning. Running his paw over his jaw to put out the fire, the momentary distraction gave Emberflower the chance to attack him. She was on top of him, driving her claws into his white pelt and he yowled in pain, his heart beating faster as she scratched at him.

Her weight was pulled off of him and he heard the voice of Talonstar. "We have to get our warriors out of here," the tom said and Palethorn half wanted to defy him, his revenge not yet complete. When he went to speak, he was reminded of the wound in his back and he winced from the pain. Talonstar sounded the retreat and the white warrior seconded him. "You heard him, pull back!" Then, the white warrior was off, ignoring the pain as he bounded out of the camp, past the bodies of the sons he had killed and back to the rebel camp.

When they arrived, Smokestreak was waiting for them with instructions on who he will be treating first. Snorting, Palethorn turned away from the so-called medicine cat and padded towards the stream, hoping to wash the blood from his white pelt. Looking into the river, he saw his reflection. An older warrior stared back at him, yellow eyes bright with bloodlust. The whiskers on his left side were shorter than on his right and he remembered how Emberflower had singed them only moments earlier. He snarled at the thought of his daughter and his reflection did the same. Clawing at it, the ripples distorted his image. Climbing into the river, Palethorn ignored the cold of the water and the burning it brought to the wound in his back, using the pain to fuel his hatred for his daughter.

One moment, Emberflower was in front of her father, clawing at his eyes, his face and his shoulders. Next, he was behind her, grabbing her tail in his jaws and causing her to shriek in pain. A spark went off involuntarily and she could smell burnt whiskers in the air. Palethorn brought his paw up to his snout in order to put the flames out and that one moment of distraction was all the tortoiseshell she-cat needed. She drove her sharp claws into his back, plunging them past his white fur into his flesh. The blood stained his white pelt and a smile split her maw when she spied the fear in his eyes.

Then, teeth were being buried into her scruff and she was thrown across the camp with the words, "Be gone, little flower!" resounding in her head. Hitting the ground hard, Emberflower felt her head spin, her body stinging and aching from the impact. Dizzy and disoriented, she attempted to spot her father so she could finish their fight, but all she saw of him was the tip of his tail as he ran away from the camp. "Coward!" she spit. "This isn't over."

Climbing unsteadily to her paws, she found she was unable to stand because of the pain in her head. Falling back over, Emberflower lay on the ground, breathing hard as the rebels retreated around her. Her vision was slowly beginning to fade, the world before her turning black, but the last thing she saw were faces peering out at her from the warriors' den. Raising her amber eyes to the white cat standing in the entrance of the den, Emberflower's head rolled back and her sight became unfocussed. The identity of the cat remained unknown to her as she slid into darkness.

pushing through
We'd never ride on horses that discourage you
If you should fall upon

If you should lose your way
There is a place

Ashtail

clan: StormClan
rank: warrior
age: 16 moons
gender: she-cat

description

Ashtail is a normal sized cat for her age. She is sixteen moons old, one of the younger warriors, and has long, thick grey fur with bright blue eyes. Her personality can be described as outgoing. She is adventurous and was always getting into trouble as an apprentice. Ashtail is friends with everyone in the clan and she talks to everyone, not just a few cats. Ashtail is almost never shy and isn't scared to fight to defend her friends or clan. She is kind and smart, but doesn't always think things through completely before acting. This tends to cause trouble for her and her clan. Despite all of this, Ashtail is quick thinking and doesn't panic in a disaster or dangerous situation. She follows the warrior code and she is not known for disobeying any of the rules.

history:
Ashtail was born and raised in StormClan. Her parents were warriors in the clan until they died. Her father was killed during a battle with the rebels when Ashtail was only a kit. When Ashtail was about 4 and a half moons old, her mother disappeared. No one knows what happened to her mother, but other cats suspect that either she had been killed or left to live as a loner.

hawkblaze | warrior | 30 moons | fire, shadow, air
tags: smallfoot, brackenstripe, spiderfang, talonstar
mood: bloodthirsty

hawkblaze was about to attack the two warriors when he heard the dreaded call of retreat. "fox dung! i was almost done!" he screeched, sending one last rain of fire at the two tabbies, then he quickly limped away, his leg still hurting from the rock attack. that talonstar... i was almost through! what happened to him that made him want to run? he ran as fast as he could with an injured leg to smallfoot, and talonstar. "come on! you heard talonstar! let's go smallfoot. i'll be right behind you," he mewed to the she-cat, hoping she would follow his orders. he dashed after her, pausing to look back. talonstar was looking for something, but hawkblaze turned away. "he already called retreat. i'm going." he turned and dashed through the forest.

he arrived back in camp, behind most of the rebel warriors. he only had a few cuts here and nicks there. his main injury was his front right leg, and his side, which had been hit badly by a rock. he winced as he moved his leg, growling. "suck it up hawkblaze. it's not broken at least," he muttered to himself. he waited at the entrance of camp for talonstar to return.
