The lone mare whinnied into the wind that was ruffling her mane. She then lowered her head to graze. The fresh spring grasses were juicy and delicious. She loved being in the open lands, away from the dangers of the forest, and in a place where she could never really have to worry about the danger.

She grazed near her mother. It was a sunny day with some wind. She swatted a fly with her tail and smelled the strange scent again. Her instincts told her to be around a stallion but being a lone mare with her mother she couldn't. The stallions would have to find her. The wind had carried bits and traces of her scent but no other horses appeared. She gave loud whinny hoping maybe a stallion or bachelor stallion would appear and snake her or her mother.

Her ears perked as she watched a shocked look expand over her foals face which she found humorous but soon her little one came bucking over jumping and leaping through the air. Rarely did Onyx play but with her babies she would do anything and to them she showed sides of her no one else would ever be able to see. Snorting she hoofed the ground whinning and kicking up her legs up trotting to Estella and giving her a gentle nip with her lips whipping her tail and whinning again. She was not the best play mate but she would try her best.

Tapping her hooves again she took into a run peering back to see if the little one would be able to keep up. She enjoyed running even though none of her foals ever seemed to enjoy running unless the time called for if, so she figured she would test out the race track with Estella.

Defying Gravity stood squarely in the shade of a lone birch tree, his ears turned out to the side as he grazed. Lazily, he flicked flies off of his hind legs, and continued to chew at the sun sweetened grass. The wind through the branches of the tree was comforting - and it's fingers wound itself in the stallion's mane. Although it pulled a little, the horse didn't care. Instead, Defying Gravity shifted his weight onto his front legs; allowing his hind left leg to relax a little - the hoof tip resting lightly on the ground. He stayed like this for a while, before repeating on his hind right leg. It was then that a whinny cut through the air. Immediately, the stallion's head shot up and scanned the area. In response, Defying Gravity let out a friendly reply, and trotted lightly out of the shade of the birch tree and out into the open. His trot fluidly changed into a canter, then into a gallop. The stallion skidded to a halt, sending dirt flying in every direction. Defying Gravity stood, quivering a little, before rearing up and releasing a high pitched whinny into the sky. He then came crashing down onto all fours once more, snorting his head and tossing his head. Then, quietly, the bay Thoroughbred cross walked evenly across the Open Land, his hooves leaving indents on the soft ground.

Wings stood on the edge of the watering hole. Slowly, she lowered her head to drink. The water trickling down her throat was bliss. As she raised her head once more, Wings snorted - sending water droplets scattering over the still water. The mare turned around to graze - her ears flicking forward and backward, getting a sense of the place. Ruthlessly, she whipped her tail through the air - swatting flies that gathered around her hindquarters. Her tail was sticky with her heat smell. Wings had been trying to keep hidden, she had no intention of carrying a foal at her age. For a couple of weeks, she had been moving around, never staying in one place for long... Keeping the stallions away. Well, it's what she hoped. After she was out of heat, Wings had decided to try to get along with other mares. But as she is so untrusting, the mare knew it wasn't going to happen! Snorting, the Mustang broke into a trot away from the watering hole - which turned into a gallop after a couple of strides. She held her tail high - a banner in the breeze. It would give her way eventually...

She had started to graze as her hopes faded. She had slowly wandered some distance from her mother when she heard a reply. She looked up curiously. She didn't see any other horses at first until she spotted a horse running sending up some dust. It was a stallion. She gave a soft nicker of greeting and she swatted her tail a little. A little of her scent caught in the breeze and she took a step back. She had no real experience with stallions and it was her first year to go into heat. However, she would only go if snaked, she would be a bit feisty.

The older stallion tosses his head and whinnies to both the mares, but mostly towards the younger one since she seems more willing, he wasn't interested in fighting to keep a mare who's not willing. Titan snorts and perks his ears at the young mare's nicker, pleased that she was so interested in him. He trots forward, circling to the side to give Ghost her space as he approaches her daughter. Once he was close enough, he reaches out his dark muzzle to her with a friendly nicker.

The filly squeals and tosses her head, happily running after her mother. She was only a few weeks old so she was still pretty unstable when it comes to walking or running, which is part of the reason the foal suddenly trips and tumbles to the ground, but she quickly gets back up and starts running again with a buck as if to kick whatever made her trip.
