  • [ Zea is not a very social person. People, and their memories, hold little appeal for her. She usually blends into the crowd instead of standing out. Sure, Zea has her own feelings and opinions, but is reluctant to express them. She can be selfish at times, but is loyal to those who are her friends. Zea likes animals in general. She hates crowds, as they are filled with memories that she just can't ignore. Zea likes to be up a tree, away from other human beings. She has never been much of a leader, preferring to follow others instead. Sometimes she is overcautious and doesn't place trust in herself or others, ultimately coming to regret it later.]

  • [Zea grew up in a small home in the city of Central Mysery. Her parents ran a small shop on the bottom floors of the house and, while it was never the greatest of businesses, it gave them enough money to keep themselves alive and able to pay their taxes to the government. As well as having a mother and father, Zea had an older brother who she loved and looked up to. While he was the outdoors type, always playing on the street with others, Zea helped in the shop and learnt how to read and write. Even at an early age she would sometimes sit and make out the letters. Zea improved rapidly and became almost as good as her parents. She had hoped to run the shop one day as, back then, she had loved meeting new people. However, everything changed when Zea got her power.
    When Zea was fifteen, she awoke, little knowing that the day she was facing would change her life forever. It was an ordinary day, the sky was filled with grey clouds and a faint drumming sound could be heard on the on the rooftops, signifying rain. But the weather wasn't the reason that Zea had woken. She stretched out her arms as she did every morning and noticing that her right hand looked different. A pale purple tattoo coiled like a venomous snake upon her right hand. Zea blinked, her heart racing in panic. This couldn't be happening... But happen it did.
    For the rest of the day, Zea wrote gloves. It was autumn, so she was able to give a reasonable excuse for having them on. During the afternoon, a harsh knock sounded on the door of the shop. It was a group of soldiers. Surely enough, they found Zea's mark and told her that they would return to collect her in a week's time.
    Zea's mother didn't want her daughter to go to the Jackson's Forward Youth School. She herself had grown up in Jamestown, hearing dozens of rumours of what went on in the school. Zea's mother hastily made arrangements for the family to secretly move to Jamestown, where they would be safe for a while. That night,something went wrong with their plan. It seemed that the person who had promised to get the family out of the city was a double agent. At the walls, they were surrounded by guards. Zea and her brother managed to escape, but as for their parents... they were not so lucky. Zea's brother had sustained a wound to his back. It was not wide but it was deep. All that day he kept needing to take breaks from walking. The two finally feel asleep underneath some large but not particularly thorny bushes.
    Zea up up the next morning. She turned her head and saw her seventeen-year-old brother. His eyes were closed, he could have passed for sleeping if it weren't for the paleness of his face and the stillness with which he lay. "James! Jamie!" Zea screamed her brother's name, but he did not stir. He didn't even take a breath. Zea held his left hand in her right. She was plunged into memory of feelings. She remembered pain, pain, an all-consuming pain that made all other feelings small in comparison. She saw weakness, gradually closing eyes to the moon and night sky above, slipping away, far away, to a place without pain, the memory's end. "Oh brother." Zea sobbed, still grasping his hand in which no pulse would ever beat again.
    Finally, Zea left her brother's body. It hurt her to leave his corpse lying beneath a clump of bushes, as though he had lived. She took from him his pocket knife, his few coins and his necklace with a charm in the shape of an eagle on it. Zea reached Jamestown and, from there, the rebel camp. Since that day she has never ceased hating the King and all his actions.]

• Personality
  
  • At a young age, Trisa learned to be wary of others. While she may act friendly to those she meets, it's only on the outside, and it takes quite some time for her to finally trust another person. This aspect of her personality was born due to her being blind, and despite having found ways around her disability, she still harbors basic traits that a tough life ground into her. If you do manage to win her trust, don't lose it. She can be a loyal friend, and will protect those she cares about. She is most often quiet about it, but if she sees a chance to help a friend out, she'll take it.
• History
  
  • Trisa was orphaned at a young age. Or rather, she was given to an orphan house by her parents, who were too poor to take care of a blind child. She doesn't mind any more, she knows that there are good parents and there are not-so good ones, and she was one of the unlucky. Being blind from birth meant that she was useful only for mending torn clothes, so as soon as she could use the needle she was put to work. At age eleven, exactly fourteen days after her birthday, her shifter mark appeared. That was the day she ran away from the orphan house and really grew up. The first few years were a bit of a blur, starvation being the one thing that followed her everywhere. But somehow she survived, and has been part of the Rebel camp for a good few years.

  • Trisa is just over 5' 5" and weighs approximately 115 pounds. She's strong and fit, which most people don't expect for someone who's blind, but she knows how to hide this, and easily hides in plain sight.
• Clothing choice/Style
  
  • Simple, practical and easy to get into. Zippers are easy, as are boot laces, but too many buttons can get annoying if you can't see them. She most often wears jeans and comfortable boots, a shirt and a worn leather jacket with plenty of pockets.

  • No, unless if you include her marking.
