Akira smiled this time - genuinely. At least her effort had been enough to make him feel more friendly. Maybe Daiki would stop nagging at her for once. Either way, Daiki was so obvious with whatever he was doing. Despite that though, Akira didn't mind getting to know this Kaoru boy. He seemed nice and not annoying, which was enough for her. She looked at him surprised. "Do you think I'd even bother going to school if it was more than 10 minutes away? I'd get Daiki to pull me in a cart. No one has time to walk more than 10 minutes to school." Akira nodded at the direction of Sakura when they were only a few meters away. This was going to be the home the newbies were going to stay in for the next three years. At this point in time, the pathway to the traditional-esque entrance was littered in small Sakura blossoms, fitting for the dorm's name. Wait. There was another girl there? Checking her phone, Akira noticed Daiki had sent her a new text message. The other new girl named Hayden is going to be arriving late. Maybe she's already at Sakura. Well, his "maybe" was probably right. Walking right up to her, she looked her up and down and nodded. This girl fit the description she had seen online. Looking at her with a clear gaze, she pointed back at the faint group consisting of Daiki and the rest. "Ah, you're Hayden. The guy you're looking for is Daiki." With that blunt introduction with no reference to Akira herself, she turned back to the musician. "Here we are," she said to Kaoru, leading the way to the door. "Boys rooms are on the second floor, girls are on the bottom. For now, just drop your bag here by the umbrella stand and we'll be on our way." She did the same, grabbed her wallet, and led the way outside again, the breeze suddenly picking up and blowing her hair in her face. Shaking her head so that it got out of her eyes, she continued down in the opposite direction from the school. Suddenly remembering her task to become friends with this boy, she slowed down and kept her pace with his. "What do you like to do, other than music?" she asked. She was interested, but honestly, she had hacked into the school system and read up a lot of the basic information about Kaoru before she had met him.

As their group came closer, Daiki spotted Akira pointing to him, talking to a girl with a car parked right outside the dorm. No doubt, that was Akira. Hopefully she wouldn't have been so blunt to the poor girl, but knowing the hacker, she would be. Sighing to himself, he jogged the rest of the way, smiling at the rest of the group and gesturing for them to hurry up. When they arrived, Akira and Kaoru had already started walking away to the grocery store. He smiled at the new girl - Hayden - and held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Daiki. That girl you were talking to was Akira. Hopefully, she wasn't too blunt with you," he smiled sheepishly and shrugged apologetically. If all went well with Kaoru, at least Akira would've opened up to one of the new students. But, he would still have to talk to her about how she - if she treated Hayden in a nonchalant way. Remembering the rest of the group, he stepped back, gesturing to the rest of them, his gaze lingering a bit on Hinata. Daiki had no doubts that at this point, Kaede knew about his more than obvious affinity for the scientist girl. And of course, the inventor was going to hassle him until she got all the information out of him. He might have to carry armor around with him in case he got bombarded by her. "These are the rest of the Dorm's residents."

Hayden glanced up when she saw an older female, blinking slowly and furrowing her
eyebrows, nodding slowly at her words. She peered out and around from behind her,
seeing an entire group of students led by older ones. She swallowed thickly, chewing
her lip and exhaling slowly as the man who she assumed to be Daiki approached her.
She shook her head slowly in response, her expression remaining neutral. "No, not
quite blunt. Just reserved." Hayden glanced to the other students, her straightening
a bit more. "I'm sure their names aren't 'Rest of the Dorm's Residents'. On the fact
of names, I'd like to know them." Her eyes wandered some and off a bit before
refocusing in on the group. Then she paused, curtly, ice blue eyes sharp in Daiki's
green ones. "All of them, please." She finally offered a smile, her arms folding
over her chest, fingers pinching and tapping at the skin they rested on. "I may not
seem too keen on the idea of getting cozy with anyone, but I'd like to know who I'm
sharing a living space with, if that's not too much to ask," she said slowly, shrugging.

Daiki stepped back half a step, a bit put off by the new girl's cold tone. Is that what she really was like? Daiki personally could handle Akira, but this Hayden was a new level. Was she just naturally like that, or was it intentional? It's not like any of them did anything wrong. Whatever. Daiki removed the thoughts from his head and looked at her, with another smile, but not so wide or so cheerful. "Well," he replied, his tone a little clipped. "Here we have Kaede and Kameko, the two other senior residents apart from me and Akira. Then, we have Miki and Hinata. Kaoru is with Akira." He looked at Hayden again. Good grief, someone help him if they ended up being frenemies or worse. It was miserable living with someone you disliked, and Daiki knew that from experience. Had Akira been this blunt when she first arrived? Who knew. "We're just about to go inside and set up rooms; you can help us if you wish, or I can get Kameko or Kaede to give you a debrief of the area." Turning around to face the rest, he smiled at all of them - much warmer this time.

A soft chuckle rose in her throat, it mostly a soft, barely audible rumble. Her eyes softened
a bit and she folded her hands neatly in front of herself. "I probably won't remember this,
but I'll try my best," she told him with an indifferent shrug, and then a slow grin forming.
"Daiki sounds easy enough to remember, however." She took a small step to the side,
watching as he turned to speak to the rest of the group. "I'd like to help," she offered
immediately, crossing her arms over her chest, sighing softly. "I'm sorry for seeming so..."
She shrugged, trailing off and moving to stand on her toes, rocking back to her heels after.
"Cold?" She offered after a while of thinking. "I'm willing to help, though. Like I said."
She nodded a bit, giving a tiny, genuine smile at the older male, before quietly looking at
the rest of the group, her eyes then lowering.
