Hearing the sounds of other dogs she immediately pricked her ears and let a small whimper out as she wasn't exactly the one to fight but if it was needed she would.Taylor looked left to right and seeing nothing was there she sighed in relief and stopped for a second as she sniffed the air in case of other dogs,suddenly she had picked up a wounded dogs scent Taylor wasn't scared nor nervous instead she was interested in finding the dog and helping the poor thing.The black and tan Hovawart lowered herself to the ground and sniffed the ground to see where the dog was,soon she had picked up the males scent and smiled she picked herself up and stood on all four paws and began to walk slowly towards him as the wind blew through her fur making her feel relaxed but determined to find this male.Taylor fastened her pace and padded quicker than usual,when all the sudden she had seen a Australian cattle dog the scent smelt familiar it was the injured male,the fae smiled at him and perked her ears as she wanted to help the dog after all he looked like he was in total pain but not only that he was a handsome male,one that she had dreamed of meeting."Hello,don't mind me I am no harm to you in fact I want to help you out.By the way the names Taylor."

The fae nearly bolted at he sound of a voice near her, she hadn't noticed Buck at all seeing as she was trying not to be noticed. His words didn't change anything in the fae's behavior, but rather worsened it. Her tail tucked even tighter and her ears back as she tried to become to smallest thing in the world as not to be seen as a threat. She didn't understand what she was supposed to say or do, dealing with her low social skills. The three year old finally spoke up when he said something about her bloody paw. She saw it as nothing since it would heal but it did hurt. "I don't need help, Buck" She told him in response, clearly not wanting to seem like she would be dependent on anyone. She was wary of him and wasn't convinced of he reason for speaking with her.

Buck looked at her his eyes were filled with concern yet curiosity,he wondered why the fae was trying so hard to be unnoticeable it was weird that she was trying hard though.The black lab was confused and had pinned his ears as the fae was acting this way,but after all he didn't know the reason why so he had no right to judge nor even think of it Buck ignored his thoughts and waited for her response."Okay but I hope you don't mind me asking,why are you trying to hide?" he asked her quietly which had more than likely sounded like a whisper,he knew that this fae probably didn't want to look dependent nor be it but this had seemed like one of those moments especially since Buck wanted to know her more better,however to her Buck had probably looked suspicious which was what most thought of the black lab.

Gage jumped when he heard a voice, and only then did he realize the fae that was in front of him was speaking to him. She introduced herself as Taylor, saying she was no harm, only wanting to help him out. His first instinct was to snap at her and be all overly suspicious, but her face only showed kindness, nothing like she wanted to harm him in any way. He managed to stand to his full height, despite the stinging of his swelling wounds, and he replied feebly, "oh, well, nice to meet you, Taylor. I'm Gage; and as you see, I am wounded. I was fighting some dogs for some food sometime back; but it didn't end up well." Defending your finds on the streets was hard for any stray; Gage had fought about four well built rottweilers for a piece of bread, but they easily over-powered him, giving him some bad scratches to think about. He wasn't the one to easily back down, so he had tried his hardest to defend his find, which didn't work out. Maybe this new stray new somewhere that had plentiful of food, besides the cafe? Eh, he would see how it would go. He managed to put on a weak smile, behind all his pain and weariness as he looked calmly at Taylor.

Akyra looked at Buck at his quiet question, looking away quickly after a moment. The fae's tail was slowly beginning to untuck itself from between her legs, though her behavior was still skittish. She wasn't so much hiding as she was trying to seem as if she were nothing for anyone to be concerned about. She hadnt even given Buck her name yet, showing just how distrustful she was of her own kind. The English shepherd huffed in response. "I'm not hiding." There was a little confidence in her voice now, seeing as she was slowly beginning to accept that Buck wasn't trying to hurt her.

Buck waited for the fae to answer as he had seen her look at him and then quickly look away,he tilted his head briefly.Suddenly he watched her tail slowly untuck from between her legs,he was quite surprised yet proud of her for some unknown reason,he thought for a while as he still wondered if she was actually hiding or if she was just nervous about something either way he shrugged it off.The black labs ears slowly perked up as he waited for the faes response and not even knowing her name yet he grew even more curious as of why she didn't,but of course Buck was that kind of dog as well since it had depended on who it was but for some reason this English Shepherd had been different in a way."Well okay then,I believe you," Buck said as he perked his ears immediately when he had heard a little bit of confidence in her voice,the black lab had only hoped that things between him and her were going to be okay,as in the trust way considering Buck was lighting up a bit especially since he wasn't exactly confident about talking to her in the first place but now he was kind of getting there.

Taylor moved back a bit as she had seen the male react by jumping considering she had probably surprised him or alerted the male.She waited for the brute to respond,she had hoped that he would possibly tell her his name which she was interested in knowing him as he had looked like a kind dog if she had known him better,shaking her head quickly to ignore her thoughts she as she didn't want to seem weird to him.Suddenly she had seen the brute stand up and seeing his full height,but as he stood up Taylor couldn't help but wonder if was alright considering the wounds looked like they were stinging and knowing what it's like they probably were."Thanks,it is nice to meet you too,Gage.Not only that but yes your wounds are clearly obvious and look terribly painful,however the way your wounds had got there sounds like you had it pretty hard," Taylor said honestly as she knew how hard it was to survive on the streets especially when you are fighting others over a scrap of food.But as many knew it was worth defending your scraps and finds that happen to see and find around the place since many try so hard to steal them off you and once your out there fighting it is hard to stop.Anyway,luckily for Gage she had known so many places where you can find food even though it wasn't great it was worth showing Gage towards the,Taylor soon saw Gage's weak smile and within seconds the black and tan Hovawart had an encouraging smile on her face as she looked at him and nodded as she waited for what he was going to say or do.

Gage nodded to her, "yep. Just over a piece of bread. I don't know what I was thinking." But he knew exactly what he had been thinking when he fought those other dogs for the stale food. He was hungry; and he still was now. The pain except from the stinging of his wounds has grown into his belly, and beneath his mottled coat, you could clearly see that his bones and ribs were protruding through his pelt. He had started to pant to catch his breath, while he looked at Taylor with friendly-glowing eyes. Usually, the brute would take advantages of the situation by acting all kind and friendly to the other stray, and then use them for his own purposes, like making the other stray help him find food or shelter, and then sell them off. But Taylor, he wouldn't do such a thing to her. She seemed different then the others; maybe they could be friends in the future. Gage wanted to see how far this would last; he winced as his wounds stung again before sitting down on the rough pavement, his bones aching from standing. Gage had once lived a life of luxurious, spoiled prizes; back when he was a leashed dog. Now, as a stray, he had gotten use to the hunger pains that sizzled through him daily, and he got used to the smoky and loud alleyways of New York City. If anything, Gage liked his freedom now as a stray, though it did have it's consequences.

She watched him for a moment almost confused by his words in response. Akyra looked away for a moment and then back, debating on if he was joking or not. Anyone could tell she was debating on how to respond to him. She was quiet for a while before she finally spoke up. "You do?" She questioned him suspiciously, no one ever believed her, usually found her as a useless dog to be around. Her tail, though low to the ground but no longer tucked, slowly wagged for a moment. It seemed the fae was starting to open up to the brute now. The English shepherd was still tucked in her shell but at least she was trying to socialize with another of her kind, who didn't seem to want anything but to see if she was okay.
