How much of an impact has your dæmon had on your life? Are they just like a character that you like but doesn't really influence you or do they play an active role in your life? Are they somewhere in between?

ah wow... ger's been a huge impact on my life. i honestly don't know who i'd be without him. he helps me with my maths, he helps me break down the questions to understand them easier. he helps to be not as introverted and shy, he encourages me to talk to people. he calms me down when i'm angry and comforts me when i'm sad. we have so may inside jokes together and we laugh together all the time and have fun. he truly is my best friend and i don't know what i'd do without him. he's me, and I control my life. If that's not enough of a rating of how influential phinx is then nothing is. Phinx is definitely not just a 'character' to me, and although we've been quiet lately he's there because he's me.

A bit about myself;
My name is lexi (not really, I'm not allowed to put my real name here) and I am between 14-24 years of age. I like to keep the form of my dæmon private, but I'm pretty sure she is settled.

He's curently stable as a binturong/asian bearcat and has been for almost two years, though neither of us is sure if that's what he'll settle as. We've only had each other for a little over two years and only got into daemonism this winter. I hope you'll enjoy your stay. And if I may ask (though you don't have to answer, of course!), is there any particular reason why you're not comfortable with sharing your daemons form?

hello lexi! i'm ehno, and my daemon is karbaenion - or kar, since that's a lot easier to spell! currently he's stable as a scottish wildcat.
has been for a few months now! though he still likes random forms just because.

literally just told me that, after he finished saying how distinguished it makes him sound.

noooo, not the deep thoughtful questions! ahh! seriously, i don't know where i'd be without this annoying snarky sidekick of mine. he's
always there for me. and while most of the stuff he does seems to be for his own enjoyment (incorporeal enjoyment?), when i need
him he's really sweet and supportive. it kind of makes it mean more that he's not like that all the time. he's helped my confidence loads,
because seriously he is so arrogant, it's contagious. and most of all, he's always honest. and i can't lie to him - seriously, i've tried, he
see's straight through it... even when i don't. and, added to all that, he's just plain hilarious.

he's nothing like some 'character' or something. in truth, i think he has too much free will for his own good, considering he's imaginary!
if i don't talk to him for a while, he'll barge in and make himself involved. he says stuff that genuinely surprises me, and usually does
his own thing - i've even had full-blown arguments with the guy. he's, like, half-way between imaginary friend and separate entity.

I just prefer to keep it private, that's all. Chisager is her name (It's pronounced shi-sah-jer.) I call her sage (sah-je) for short. . I'm pretty sure she is settled, though she sometimes wishes she could change. She is often sarcastic, and loves to mess around with people. She talks in an Aussie accent (undetectable for me, I'm Aussie too).

Sage is practically my entire life. I love her as my best friend, and she is always there for me. She plays a role in my life that is very much like filling a place. When she left for two months once, It was like I had a hole in my chest. That was the first time I had depression (I have had it many times now, and I am in it now. )

Well, so I definitely have some dæmon-related news to share. See, Chicane has been a squirrel/sugar glider for nearly two years, and the sugar glider form fit me perfectly, like, there was not a single bullet point on the analysis that was debatable, everything fit me flawlessly. I was nearly positive we'd settle as a glider; I'd always project him as a [flying] squirrel too. But anyways, there's a whole lot of change going on in my life right now, and my personality is kind of reshaping to adjust to that, so the sugar glider stopped suiting us.

So anyways, we're back to unsettled now. After a little researching we came across the asian small-clawed otter, and Chi has been stuck in that form ever since. The analysis fits me nicely, better than the sugar glider now, probably. I like the "thick-skinned" trait that the otter's form has, which is really suiting me well right now, as I'm becoming really indifferent to what others think of me and am kind of outgrowing some of my past traits. (I was really emotionally sensitive in the past.) I'm just sort of trying to shut away a lot of my emotions right now honestly and it feels really nice to have a change like this, even if it's somewhat minor.

And he's changed physically too. He's kept his facial expression and albinism but is definitely an otter now. I keep teasing him about it, because he's extremely anti-shapeshifting and has been something generally squirrel-like for pretty much his entire existence and now he's content as an otter. It's a little alarming for both of us because it was such an unexpected change (otters aren't like a favorite animal of mine or anything, this was really out of the blue) but at the same time we both sort of know that this form fits us. We've only had the form for maybe three days now, (technically we began to feel uncomfortable in our current form a month ago but we didn't find the otter specifically until just recently) but I'm getting the vibe that this isn't just a temporary shift, and that we'll stay this way for awhile. So yeah, long story short I now have an otter dæmon.

for the first part - sure, all the time! when i project him ( which i don't do as often as i used to, i need to start doing that again! ) he
takes pretty much any form he wants. he really likes his stable form, but he'll still mess around as any old thing. trying to think of one
in particular... the toaster with wings one got me. i don't have a clue where that came from, he just floated over my shoulder one day
in that form. it was hilarious. another one was when he took the form of a black wolf with green eyes. it's kind of personal - and weird -
why that form has any significance at all, but it does, and i wasn't expecting it at all. i actually got mad at him for that one at first...
because of reasons. but he still does it, and i find it kind of sweet now, especially since it's usually when i'm upset.

as for the ones that make me uncomfortable... there aren't really any that do that anymore. human forms used to really bug me,
especially when he'd take one randomly when i was in the shower or something! i swear he is such a troll. seriously. but i'm kind of
immune to it now because i'm so used to it. i think they're actually pretty cool, once you get over the awkwardness. especially video
game characters, they make the best daemon forms! xD

Yes, sage used to change quite often. Once, she was a sparrow, and then she changed for two months to be a speckled bear. That was weird. She has never changed to make me uncomfortable though. I'm pretty sure she is stable now, though.
