Well, I myself have just gotten very good at guessing. But, here are some tips:
-If you see a picture in a sig that looks like the size you want, right click and view information to see what size it is
-600 pixels is enough to fill the whole width of your sig. 300 to fill half, and so on.
-100 x 100 is standard icon size. I sometimes line up a bunch of icon sized pics to see how many it takes to get the size I want. Like, if 1.5 icons seems like the right size, I know I want 150 pixels.

Ahhh, sorry it took longer than I said! I must learn to not be so arrogant as to overestimate my own speed...


1. So, I see what you tried to do there. But what tripped you up was trying to have so many separate column codes.
For your own reference, here is the simplified version of what you tried:
[left ]Text text text[ /left][left ][right ](other image)[ /right][ /left]
[a bunch of empty lines here]
[left ]("inside of me" image)[ /left]

I count three column codes there.

2. Since the text and the "inside of me" picture need to be in the same column in the signature, keep them together in the same column code, not separate.

Like this:
[left ]Text text text
("inside of me" Image)[ /left]

3. Then the other image gets put in a "center" column and then made to hug the left like this:
[left ][center ](other image)[ /center][ /left]

4. All together, the final code looks like this:
[left ]Text text text
("inside of me" Image)[ /left][left ][center ](other image)[ /center][ /left]

Last Step. Now, in order to push the "inside of me image" down to rest on the bottom, you are going to need 8 lines of text (or 8 lines of empty space) above it. I have numbered the lines so that you can see for yourself.
