I brought a new fish and I already had one, I asked if my current fish (Alex) would get along with the new one (Flare) and the people that worked at the shop (Animates) said yes, so we got the fish. Me and my mum have realized that the Alex has been following Flare to the point where they are practically touching, just under Flare's tail. Sometimes Alex will swim up past Flare's tail and touch it's side for a second or two then go back so he/she is just under Flare's tail again. I don't know what the genders of the fish are though, and was wondering if this could be caused by the fact that they might be opposite genders? I would love some help, as I need to know what to do, or if I should do anything at all.

Do you know what kind of fish they are?

One of them is roughly 6 cm goldfish and the other one is around the same shape as a gold fish but has the same kind of coloring as these fish and is slightly bigger (I don't know what breed it is):

How big is your tank? (Just wondering xD)

the biggest thing I've bred were guppies and they kinda followed each other around but I'm not sure if it's the same as what you mean xD

If they are reallly similar then the other might be like a 'type' of goldfish, but I think only same species can breed together

extremely sadly not, but I hate America no offence if you live here xD

2 goldfish need at least 30 gallons (though if I had 2 goldfish I'd be wanting at least 40 personal preference)

Assumming the tank is not taller than 45cm, it's 55 liters max, most likely smaller...

Could you get pictures of your fish? That way people here might be able to help out figuring out what kind of fish they actually are.
