Prom-blem

Hey guys! I've got myself into a pickle with prom this year and was hoping I could receive some wise words.

Back in April, I got asked to prom by a guy who I did not want to go with. Naturally, I said no because I was "going on vacation."
Then my parents planned a vacation. Because of my age, I don't go to prom unless I am asked.

So, I met a guy at a party Saturday night and things went very well. Basically, I received word that this morning he told his friend he found out who he was asking to prom. Very likely it is me, since we have been flirting since.

The prom-blems are...

1) I don't know if my parents will let me
2) what the reaction of people will be when they hear I said yes to the second prom invite
3) what to do about my vacation I lied about

I know I put myself into a bad situation but help? ;.;
