Hiya everyone! merci. here.
Soo...hmm, I guess a bit about my tastes in anime/ manga? I'm fond of ones that have a little bit of everything, with dark or mysterious plots that can bring about plenty of the feels, with attractive/ interesting character designs, and just a touch of comedy and romance, nothing too obvious. I prefer characters that you can relate to emotionally; I don't mind if they have completely fantastical minds but I really like to be able to empathize with whatever conflicts they face.
As for romance? I don't like it to be a massive chunk of the plot but I do like animes to have it, even if it plays a minimal role.
::favourite anime::
I haven't watched too many animes, but I think that my favourite has got to be Nagi no Asukara. The artwork is breathtaking, and it has a wonderful storyline with just the right amounts of comedy, adventure, mystery, and romance. I also think it's quite a unique idea for an anime, though possibly I haven't watched enough to see everything.
As for the animes I have watched before, they would be:
Free! Iwatobi Swim Club
Shingeki no Kyojin/ Attack on Titan
Ouran High School Host Club
Karneval
Sword Art Online
Kuroshitsuji/ Black Butler
Fullmetal Alchemist ( still watching )
Nagi no Asukara
As you see I haven't watched a lot of anime yet ^^'
I'm also very fond of Miyazaki's movies, though I'm not sure if you would count them under this category, I've watched many of them!
::favourite manga::
My favourite manga by far is Ilegenes. I was really impressed by this one, it's got a dark, postmodern-ish plotline, but a few lighthearted moments, gorgeous art, and bishies, for anyone who's interested in that ;b Certainly the most impressive part is the story they've woven in it, it was engrossing and I was so interested that I finished the entire manga in a day >.<
As for manga I've read, there really aren't many that I've finished, either because the scanlations aren't complete or I don't have time. Reading manga is quite time-consuming, but here are the ones that I've read/ am in the process of reading:
Horimiya
Tsubasa : RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
+Anima
