Heavy paws carried a smiling Rune out of his den. His gray fur was tousled from a long and well-deserved sleep. He was barely aware of the melting snow before him until its wetness reached his paws with a startle. He chuckled lightly to himself and shook his head. It was already weeks into spring, and the snow still refused to part ways with the ground. A yawn parted the brute's jaws as he stretched out his forepaws to ease the stiffness in his back.

Rune straightened out and quickly scanned the scene. He spotted his alpha, Rivers, just emerging from her den as well. He hadn't had much conversation with the she-wolf beyond the occasional formalities. He decided, since there was still time before he would depart for hunting, to go and greet her.

Almost as soon as he had the thought a much larger wolf approached Rivers. Rune paused in his path towards the alpha with the unsure flick of the ear. After a moment, he decided it would be best to avoid a large conversation. He tended to be a bit... awkward, say, around many wolves at one time.

Nodding his broad head then spoke to her holding a friendly glance "of course" a grin tugged at the ends of his muzzle plopping down he turned his head to see another male then said "morning" to him trying to be friendly to everyone he din't like to make enemy's.Turning around his eyes zeroed into the woods as his paws started to take him to the cluster of tree's.The large yet lean male slunk through the tall grass stalking his prey pouncing he landed on the light brown rabbit sinking is large canines into the neck after it went limp he clenched it harder in his mouth as he trotted towards a flowing lake that ran by the territory.Tearing off a chunk of meat from the plump rabbit he stripped the bones until there was nothing left to the rabbit after his morning snack he crouched down so he could lap up the cold spring water it was still somewhat warm outside as it was mating season.Hiko wasn't necessarily looking for mate but if he had to he would but who could tame the heart of a beast like him?No one at least that is what Hiko thought shaking the thought out of his head he got up shaking his muzzle of the drops of water that had splattered on his coat then stalking off to the camp ground.As he got there he walked into his den that was beside the alpha's.Laying down he had his ears pricked up and his chest up his face emotionless his eyes looked off into the horizon where the sun was still rising.

What caught him off guard was when he yawned thinking he was tired he went to sleep his head on his paws and his eyes closed he dozed off into a light sleep so if the alpha called on him he would be ready to do whatever he asked.After about a few minutes his black head shot up ears erect and looking up searching for the thing that woke him up not seeing anything he laid his head down again.

Deimos;
"Ah, and now that you mention it, it does feel rather warm." Deimos answered, tail swaying behind him limply. "Well your smelling senses are far much better then mine, friend." He said, not being able to smell the elk's scent.

Storm smiled "would you like to go hunting with me?" He asked as he smiled with the word friend. He sensed more people around "hmm I think I sense the alpha up. I feel her movement" he spoke as his ears twitched to the sound of voices.

Rivers hummed softly as she walked around checking on every body making sure their daily chores cause she didn't want nobody getting lazy on her to early. She laughed slightly as she talked to one of the packs healers. She told them farewell and have a good day. She trotted around camp for a little bit and literally bumped into Rune, one of the newest members, She smiled "good after noon Rune, are your chores done for today?" she said with a kind smile backing away apologizing for running into him

"As I have no real duties at the moment, sure." He replied, returning the smile. "Lead the way." Deimos stated, looking in the direction of where Storm's ears were pointed, seeing three other wolves.

Rune felt a furry body bump into his. He jumped up to see Rivers, his alpha, standing behind him. He backed up to a point where he could actually see her and then offered the she-wolf a friendly smile, showing no harm done.

"I'm afraid not yet," he admitted when she inquired about his chores. "I was just heading off to do them though."
