The Gentlemen

#26 is referred to as the Silencer by the group, or as Voiceless. He has yet to give his name to the others, even after the persistent questioning from Toshiaki. This muteness may have been caused from one of the many experiments humans preformed on him, but it could also be physiological. He has the darkest heart of the group; Voiceless is not interested in the killing himself, but enticed by the chase and mental damage he can do before they die. #26 wants to see fear.... fear he needs it to forget his own.
He seemed to be the favorite one to play with. He was always under the knife, on that cold table, strapped and drugged, he had given up on everything- if Alric had not kept his hopes up and kept the others alive. They spoke to him in silent hours and gave him strength. They referred to him as "The Keeper" for a while, as he knew all the secrets of their minds, hearts and their true motives, yet in the end, he knew the most but said the least about their pasts... He'd always remember.
After his liberation, VC became "The Silencer." As "The Silencer," he steals the voices of his victims and replays them as his own voice. As well as stealing it he doesn't have to listen to them anymore: he hates letting the victim speak or scream. Voiceless can’t stand the screaming. Tormenting his prey for the time he is allowed before they kill, so he can make them inure suffering as he did. This time, he will be the one that gets the last laugh. VC can mask his voice as a loved one, dipping into the victims head and speaking to them. He feels no remorse... no mercy. What empathy had they show him anyway.
Toshiaki is a male name of Japanese origin, having three different yet similar meanings. For one, it means "bright and alert." Another is "bright and clever," and the third meaning is "bright and happy."
Bright and cheerful, that's what this boy's personality used to be. He was completely wise, one of the brightest ones around. That is, until the one day he got locked up on the dreaded island. Toshiaki never seemed completely sane or strong enough to keep his sanity for long, he always was of the odd sort at times. It wasn't long before he completely snapped. His sanity is long gone, only a spark of it left.
Toshiaki has indeed changed, but he's still almost as bright and clever as before. He's just rather wicked now, and, well, insane. A complete psychopath. He never seems to quit laughing. It's always a dreaded cackle that seems to ring in your ears for hours. It echoes everywhere, only to be followed by an eerie sounding nursery rhyme that will escape his mouth. He truly has lost it.
A new lust has filled his once innocent soul too. The lust for pain, laughter, mayhem, and death. Him and all of the others, they're all the same. That's the only bit of sanity left in him, the bit that keeps him with them and leaves him sticking to their side. He's the creepy psychopath of their group, everyone plays their part.
Toshiaki isn't just cheery though, I'll say that. He may seem bright and insane, but there most definitely is a dark side crawling in him too. He's become fiercer, a rather insane fierce too from the psychopathy. He can get angered easily and just snap. Needless to say though, through all that's changed with him and the loss of his sanity, he's still incredibly clever and intelligent.
Floc # 28 was nicknamed Alrik. In German, the name Alrik means- noble leader. The name Alrik originated as an German name. he is a European floc by birth and bron in the wilds with his pack. The freedom he had was short lived. His pack was killed by poachers, no he seeks to avenge the cruelties that have been done to him and his family real and adoptive.
Alrik is a smooth talking Floc with dark charm and charisma his allies. Alrik became the unspoken leader of the group. He was the only one of the Floc, though equally mad, the only on that still retained complete reasoning. He looks out for his kin in an older brotherly way. Alrik put up with his kin’s obsessions know that they are dealing with the pain and fear in their own twisted ways. His hatred of the humans was the greatest though. In constant distain for them and haters for them gave him reason enough to kill. Having little compassion for the human kind that so easily viewed him and his brothers as a pest, he feed into the obsession of harming them.
Alrik pull the strings, if he says go the group will follow. If he says no the group would stop. They look to the floc for guidance and with loyal respect. Alrik is the one who keep the group together and in check, it was his cunning and ruthlessness that got the Five out of there dark prison and he who now leads the Five unto a new life as the gentlemen.
Floc #29 took the name Lurid, meaning something gruesome; horrible; revolting and terrible in intensity, fierce passion, or unrestrained. He lived a simple life before becoming "The Collector." He traveled and had a gentle heart, death affecting him deeply.
So hazy, but he remembered the lights. The labs had traumatized him. Lurid cried most nights as he thought about the dead and the beauty that was being destroyed. He didn't understand the motives he tried to keep silent. Lurid’s fear began to eat him alive, with death and pain and imminent reality. He like, the others, began to go mad, he began to see the side of the researchers, wanting immortality was not a bad thing. Creating a better being was the goal of these scientists. Lurid began to listen and learn- he wanted to create immortality for himself and his comrades. In his dark helm of his thoughts, death was no longer an option. In his madness he becomes fixated on collecting organs. Hearts in general, with Toshiaki singing that the hearts were the keys to unlock further power. Lurid came to see the need that the hearts were the keys they needed, though only the right ones would unlock their powers and grant them the key to unlock their shackles of mortality. He doesn't join in the culling. He doesn't want to become what he hated.
He licks his lips at the thought of its sweet and metallic taste. It dances on his tongue and covers him. "Such a beautiful color.." he thinks to himself. Eyes slowly blinking when his thoughts are lost in the ecstasy and adrenaline.
Kristonov is #30. His placard says so anyway. Throughout the hours and slowed seconds, he spent so much time sitting behind links of cages next to an operation. The view was obscene- had he not looked away, he would have been sick. He had heard so many melodious screams and squeals followed by the clinking of metal against a pan, but something changed. They brought in a new flox, unscathed by the knife: he was silent. He said, screamed, moaned nothing. It was surreal, knotting in Kris's throat to tell him to scream. The flox didn't though. Maybe it was his throat that was choked. 30 watched the whole time, what they did to him and was inside. It was so intricate... so many organs that fit together perfectly. What would happen if they were to just be moved a little? What if they moved his lungs a little lower? What if... From then on, he had to know this silent one. He had to know what he was thinking, but he did not expect that he would be silent outside of the operations. He was dead quiet, yet Kris was as well. He couldn't speak. His eyes held his gaze and he couldn't tear from them. What had they done inside of him? The screams were drowned out from then on: Kris was enamored with the anatomy of each patient.
Where the madness became reality...
Five flox were brought to Plum Island Animal Disease center almost a decade ago. They were locked away subjected to endless days in a cold examination room. They were being studied by the humans here, the humans wanting to understand their physic abilities. They wanted to find a way to harness this power and use it in the research here on Plum Island.
Outwardly the facility studies diseases transmitted and harmful to only animals. However there had been much speculation to the ulterior motives to the researchers here. The scientists here decided that the knowledge of these Flox was too good to share. They began to use their DNA to create new creatures, wanting to create artificial life, to create monster that could be used to oppress and dominate. None of these monsters ever took a breath, these failures, never stop the torment of the Flox. The five began to hate the humans and love the pain.
It is here that the five plague doctors were born. The humans, believing that the flox were a lesser being, nothing more than common beast that were to be studied met there match. After year the five had gone mad, watching their comrades victimized, tormented and slaughtered. Their minds were warped and they lost sight of the majestic creatures they had been, losing all trace that peaceful beings had every existed it them. These cold cages and in blood drenched dreams the flox swore they would be free from this evil place.
Cases of sudden plagues of illness have been linked back to the Plum island research, when any disease is deemed out of research hand the portion of the facility must be purged and cleansed of all possible threats. The Leader of the five soon had the researchers believing that the plague was back and that a purge might be needed. The flox projected images of boil’s spreading on the humans bodies, the sensation of burning skin filled their minds and then a silence, the researchers lost their voices and ability to scream. The flox had gotten out and it was there turn to get the revenge they all longed for. They killed the researchers that had abused them so. They took their hearts, as keepsakes. The seven humans that had tried to take their power now gave their hearts to the Flox.
Before leaved the Island forever each floc took a mask that the researchers had worn during their experiments. Decorating it in the blood of the humans, later the blood was colored and stair the masks as they proceeded into their work. The masks were used to hide the faces of the Flox from their victims. And the floc used the mask to hide the scent of blood and death.
Now the flox were free, five Flox that may have been better off caged. Now they roamed together collecting the hearts of humans. Their twisted minds now believed that the keys they needed were really human hearts and other organs. The Commander (#28) selects the victims, The Silencer (#26) stealing the voice of the victims so not a sound was heard, then The Butcher (#30) doing of course what all butchers do, The Giggler (#27) ripping the hearts from the body, and the Collector (#29) keeping them all safe. These monsters that humans had created now took out their hate on the humans around them.
