Kestrelstar moved on to Badgerpaw. "I, Kestrelstar, leader of AshClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I commend 'im to you as a warrior in his turn. Badgerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, an' to protect an' defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

(After Badgerpaw says "I do.")

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Badgerpaw, from this moment on, you'll be known as Badgerface. StarClan honors your boldness and motivation, and we welcome you as a full warrior of AshClan."

My cats cheered.

At last, Kestrelstar turned to Softpaw. "I, Kestrelstar, leader of AshClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She's trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, an' I commend 'er to you as a warrior in 'er turn. Softpaw, do ya promise to up'old the warrior code an' to protect an' defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

(After Softpaw says "I do.")

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Softpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Softstep. StarClan honors your compassion an' tolerance, and we welcome you as a full warrior of AshClan."

My cats cheered.

Kestrelstar stepped down from the Highrock to allow Ghostflight to handle Patchpaw and Songpaw's warrior ceremonies. "They're all yours," he whispered.
