"I wasn't bein' rude. I was bein' defensive. There is a diff'rence." Kestrelstar looked annoyed. "You trespassed on our territory without permission an' I wanted to know why. There's nothing rude about that."

Kestrelstar flattened his ears. "Again, I was not being rude nor unfair. The warrior code says to challenge any trespassing cats an' that's exactly what I was doing. If I'd been insulting you or attacking you at the first chance I got, then yes, that would be rude of me. But that's not what happened. Plus, we've been attacked by rogues twice this moon, so you can't really blame me for being hostile or suspicious. I apologize if I offended you, but I will not apologize for defending my territory in the manner I did, as that is how trespassers are expected to be faced when...well, trespassing."
