I pulled out my iPod and turned on some music and looked ahead, being able to see the horse ranch. I heard someone come up behind me, figuring they needed to talk. "hey, do-" I stopped mid sentence surprised to see Jason again, but certainly not mad . "hello again Jason, what's on your mind?" I asked, pulling one earbud out of my ear.

"N-nothing really" I said panting. phew- deep breaths, deep breaths. I leant over and panted for at least two minutes and then I stood up again. "Sorry if I seem like a stalker it's just-" I didn't really know how to explain that I have no friends and everybody I even look at- I get a feeling they hate me.

I laughed, gently patting his back. "ok, this is going to be so puny but, Jason, don't sweat it. You're not stalker ish. But I have to ask, why'd you follow me?" I began a slow walk turning to walk backwards so I could see him. I s'miled and waited for a reply. It was kind of cute, like a little kid cute.

"Well- I can't exactly explain without telling you my history so erm- get comfy, I guess" I say as I sit on a nearby tree stump. I carefully think about what to say and how to explain why I left England. "So about 10 years ago- when I was 6-ish, my-" I sighed and looked down to floor to relax and not to be so tense. It didn't work. I sat up strait and just went through with it. "When I was 6- my mum was killed in a car crash, leaving just me and my dad. My dad always said it was my fault that she was killed in the crash, so that just demolished my self-confidence completely- so I avoided people and when I tried to make friends they didn't want me or they left me in the dark with no-one to talk to. So I got to be friends with wildlife instead. Then when I heard about being able to get away from my old life and start again- I took the opportunity- anything to get away from my drunk, abusive and constantly shouting dad. So ever since I arrived here I have been desperately trying to make friends and to not be left lonely like before, so that is why I keep on following you." By this time I have a few tears rolling down my face. I look up and manage a smile, but it is a nervous smile.

"Ok, I'm listening." i sit down on the ground cross legged. I looked up at Jason and listened to his story. And I thought i had it hard. "Oh my gosh Jason," I breathed. "That's terrible. And I thought my past was hard. " I shook my head, not wanting to start talking about me. "I'm so sorry for your loss." i noticed he was crying, so I went over and patted Jason's shoulder awkwardly. "So where are you staying now? In a hotel?" I asked softly, letting him cry for a little while. I rubbed his back gently and studied his face.

Cecilia nodded in agreement. "Yeah," she said dreamily, looking at the sky.

The sky turned red and black.

She didn't know why she did it, or was it a good choice. But she somehow thought of it. As she felt Jamie's arm around her, she slowly put her head on Jamie's shoulder.

"It's OK" I said quietly- now trembling a little."Yeah, I'm stopping in a hotel" I say just before I sniff. I jumped when Violet patted me on the shoulder, I had to look up and see who it was. I smiled a little at her as she bent down and rubbed my back. Suddenly I had the urge to have a hug so quickly I hugged Violet but only for a little bit. Afterwards I felt better and I quickly jumped off the log.
