he nodded as she spoke the first time. watching the fire, and not taking his eyes off it. he wanted to see where it would go, who it would engulf. he never knew fire could be so beautiful, and yet so very, very deadly. it took away his grandparents at a young age. he set it, more like they made him set it. his mental state back then had been very unstable and with his brother -one of two older ones; the oldest- missing, and no one to really take care of him, he had set the fire that engulfed his old home and killed his grandparents. they weren't the nicest, but that wasn't the nicest thing either. he shook his head like he had water in his ears. he needed to clear his head. "yeah, lets go." his voice was distant, and he seemed far off. the fire made a bunch of things come to mind. some, that were better off undisturbed.

Katrina looked at him weirdly, but she didn't say anything. She glanced down at the fire, then back up at Luka. She found a tin of water, full enough to put out the fire. And she dumped the water on the fire. She grabbed his chin gently to make him look at her. And looked into his eyes trying to analyze his emotions. But his eyes had this far off look. "Luka come on, let's grab the stuff and go." she said releasing him. She grabbed a bag and slung it over her shoulder. She glanced back at Luka before walking into the forest, the brush and foliage hiding her form sight as she continued. She ran her fingers threw her hair glancing around. As she walked she'd close her eyes and take a deep breath to get a feel of where she was.

Luka screwed his face when she held his face looking into his eyes. Other than that he was unresponsive in any way shape or form. He didn't not when she told him that they needed to go. He just got up, grabbed his stuff and followed behind her. His gaze was downcast. But he was sending glares around the area. One even directed towards her. He was in his own world. Not really knowing what he was doing. He turned from the path they were on. Walking down into the brush and away from her. Muttering to him self in some unknown language. You'd think he was speaking English. He kept walking not really paying much attention or having much care to where he was going.

Katrina licked her bottom lip, and glanced back at Luka. But he wasn't there. Sighing she shook her head, and continued to walk back towards the cave. He probably needed to be alone right now. When she got back she placed the bags onto the floor and ran her fingers threw her hair. She felt filthy, as did the clothes she was wearing. So while Luka was gone, she decided to get cleaned up. She walekd to the small waterfall she had found earlier. She stripped frmo her clothes cleaning them the best she could. Then setting them out to dry in the sun. She walked into the water, going over and sitting under the water fall. Letting the water pound away any filth on her. Kat was relaxed under the waterfall, even if half of her bare body was exposed. She didn't care, she'd care if someone stumbled across her. Other than that she didn't care.

i continued walking, placing one foot in front of the other. there were so many things buzzing around in my head. it was making my head throb. it hurt too much to think, and the sunlight was making my head hurt, on top of that. i wasn't to sure if it was just a migraine or not. i had absolutely no desire to do anything (like i am today) and i just couldn't focus. i dumped my load next to a tree in a shady spot. so it wouldn't heat up. i sat on the ground listening to the sounds of the animals and the breeze flowing past my face. undisturbed, adapting to everything and anything that blocked it's path. even to my face it adapted too. just glided over, changing trajectory and silently and softly flowing over my face. i let a smile crawl across my face as i opened my eyes. the light didn't seem to bother me no, the ache went away in my head.

i felt fine like i had before all this happened. i shrugged. i guess i just felt homesick. i missed being home, and i was as skinny as a twig. not having eaten anything in a few days. i was becoming hungry, but i didn't show it. it seemed we have been on this island for months, and it was starting to get at me. i guess i really needed my medicine. bad. i was starting to go crazy. not that i wasn't before i came. going on this cruise was crazy, even surviving that accident was crazy. i sighed before standing again, picking up my stuff and walking again. i didn't find my confidence, but i wasn't going to sit here and let my emotions rule me over and make this more of a disaster. all we needed was some kind of flare, or... some way to signal someone if a plane or something did come.

but first we'd need to get a good feel of the island. we have been in just one corner for a time, we need to go exploring again. i started to walk, to find Kat, and let her know about my plan. if this island was being passed by with out ship, their had to be a dock. and if those kids were still alive, we needed to find them again. gain information from their time here, and put it all together. i could underwater dive again and check out if their was some kind of sea food around here. we could start with that. but first i needed to find Kat. i turned and contained to walk, sniffing around, trying to catch Kat's scent. i caught a faint trace of it. sighing i started walking, calling out her name hoping she hadn't gone too far.
