Personality/Skills: She is very generous, and a great fighter. One of her main skills is jumping, as with the rest of Skyclan. She is generally good with kits but can easily lose her patience, as she doesn't have a mate or kits.

Name Reasoning: If she's such a beautiful cat with pretty black fur, why would she be named for one very tiny part of her? Where a name-change could be in place, name-changes focus entirely on big injuries that debilitate a cat and may impair their ability to hunt and fight (lost legs, tails, torn face, etc). A broken claw is bad, yes, but it will eventually grow back, though it may take some time. She's still a very good fighter despite of it.
Her suffix works as a skill namer, rather than noting her injury.
Alternative Name: Ivyclaw/Dipperclaw. Both prefixes name a black cat, and her suffix may remain as it is.

Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: I feel like a cat who has a very generous and helpful outlook, who does well with kits, wouldn't lose her temper easily with them. She would probably be an eternally cheerful and happy to assist sort. It might take a lot for her to genuinely lose her patience, and when she does, it's absolutely terrifying.
But other than that, her personality and skills are fine!

Personality/Skills: Kind and caring, protective, she is great at keeping secrets and being a shoulder to lean on. She is great at hunting fish and has found a little clearing full of snowdrops that she tends to in her spare time. She loves eating mice, except for the tails
Important Notes: She is mute. She lost her voice as an apprentice when she got a bad throat infection, and when she had her voice it was quite pretty.

Personality/Skills: She is slightly childish and is friendly with everyone. She is good at sneaking up on others and is known for keeping her cool in tough situations. She is not as good at staying calm in minor situations, like when she found out she was going to have kits she started freaking out.
Important Notes: She was a kittypet before meeting her future mate

Name Rating: 2/10
Name Type: Lyrical
Name Reasoning: Been a while since I've gotten a super lyrical name.
There's three things wrong with this name. One, cats have no idea what silk is, and thus would have no reason to have the phrase. Two, a cat's voice may be pretty, but that's not going to catch prey or defend the territory. And three, if she's been mute since she was an apprentice, why would they give her a name for her voice? Isn't that a little cruel/pointless?
Anyway, she should be named for her fur color, rather than her now-gone voice. She does appear to be very skilled in catching fish, which would imply being good at swimming, so we'll give her -stream as a suffix.
Alternative Name: Blizzardstream/Hollystream. Both prefixes imply a white cat, and -stream is for a cat who's skilled in fishing and swimming.

Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: There is one big issue: a blue eyed white cat has an extremely high chance of being born deaf. So you could go with having odd colored eyes to prevent that (one eye being a different color than the other - yellow-blue, green-blue, or brown-blue are possibilities), or you could make her deaf and have her be mute from day one. Either way would work out fine, so long as you were careful about the deaf possibility.
Her personality checks out just fine, though, so there's only the one problem.


Ghosthaze
Name Rating: 2/10
Name Type: Lyrical
Name Reasoning: Naming a kitten after something dead is a tad grim, wouldn't you say? Normal cats generally don't know what a ghost looks like, and besides, names tend to focus on the present, rather than the past. She has a nice pretty grey coat that doesn't need naming after something mythical.
I'm not sure what -haze is to represent, and it's getting late so I'm a little tired, but the bottom line is that she doesn't seem like a hazy cat, and she doesn't have any outstanding skills, so she'll have to go with the defaults.
Alternative Name: Dawnstripe/Lavenderstripe. I picked out some plain grey names, and added -stripe to accentuate her notable markings.

Character Reasoning: The only issue I can think of is that she should be able to keep a steady head with everything, not just big situations and then freak out at small ones. That's a bit inconsistent. Otherwise I see no issues!

Name Reasoning: I think I'll just quote a previous -flight post, since somehow I don't even know why I haven't put it up yet:

The basics follow -wing: it's something cats can't really do, and if it wanted to say a fast cat or agile climber, it's covered by -foot and -tail.

Her prefix, though, fits her to a T! So the only issue is her suffix, which can easily be changed thanks to her skills in hunting.
Alternative Name: Robinwhisker. -whisker indicates a cat who's very skilled at hunting, and Robin- stays as it is.

Character Rating: 8/10
Character Reasoning: Her personality is laid out in a large number of traits that don't really feel connected. None of these traits seem to really conflict, but without some connection they feel a little stilted. I think the "easily confused" bit could be taken out, to make room for a more fluid characterization.
She could, for example, be a calm and thoughtful cat who has a quiet steadiness and bravery that lets her stare down even the fiercest leader without so much as blinking, who doesn't need to raise her voice to be heard, nor does she ever get into arguments because her motherly nature and gentle honesty leaves no room for arguing. Maybe cats automatically want to do their best around her, because a mother's disappointment is about the worst thing one can face - and she never does get angry, just shakes her head sadly and walks off. I can see her being someone who doesn't really have a mate - whoever she was friendly with at the time provided her with kits, but they had nothing beyond that - and could be a solid rock in times of distress.
Kinda went on a tangent there, but you get my point.

Reasoning: She's not exactly a black cat, just a very dark tabby, so I don't think Night- would work for her. -shade, as well, would not have any purpose other than to allude to the deadly plant, assuming that it doesn't refer to an ability to sneak around unseen (though it does work as a prefix). Since she doesn't seem to have any outstanding traits, we'll go with the defaults for now.
Alternative Name: Ivyfur/Ivypelt/Shadestripe. Both prefixes refer to a dark grey cat, and -fur and -pelt show a cat who just has a general skill set. -stripe will only work with Shade-, since Ivy- refers to a tabby cat.

Rate: 2/10
Type: Lyrical
Reasoning: There's no real reason for him to be named Cold-. Coldness doesn't have a color (At most, it would allude to ice and snow, which are white rather than black), and if a kitten is named for the fact that they were cold when they were a baby, they would be dead. You don't get to be cold as a newborn and still have a pulse.
-storm, generally, alludes to a cat with a wildly swinging personality that has an upswing and a downswing, but it doesn't seem like he has this particular trait. Like his sister, I'll have to stick to the defaults for now.
Alternative Name: Beetlepelt/Ravenfur. Both prefixes allude to a black cat, and -pelt and -fur are the defaults (-pelt suggested for a short hair cat, -fur for a long haired one).

Rate: 4/10
Type: Creative
Reasoning: Ghost- would refer to either a dead cat (which is unfair to the kitten), imply the cat looks dead (rude and not at all a good thing), or that the cat has a specific color (despite the fact that most cats don't know what a ghost looks like). It's just a name that doesn't work out in any direction you send it.
-patch will have to be dropped, since, at least in this system, the prefix should automatically refer to the fact that the cat is patched. Giving her the name Snow-, for example, despite the fact that she's equally black colored, and then sticking -patch on the end could mean that she has white patches, but it doesn't say how big those patches are. What if they just refer to a white muzzle and belly and feet? What if she's majority white with patches of an unknown color? Etc.
I'll have to stick with the defaults on this one, as well. (Quick tip: use the Important Notes section to give me any of their skills or notable personality traits, rather than who they're related to. Then we don't have to worry about defaults.)
Alternative Name: Avocetpelt/Brightfur. Avocet- refers to a black and white patched cat, Bright- refers to a white cat with starkly colored patches.

Name Reasoning: Ripples, generally, don't look like much. They're just little bits of water that are moving thanks to something touching the water, and have no color of their own. Since water is see-through, it's generally discouraged to name a cat after it (Pool-, River-, Rapid-, etc).
Meanwhile, he's not much of a fighter, so -claw wouldn't really work for him. He does have an innate sense of balance (which would imply that he's a good climber - those two things tend to go hand in hand), so he could definitely be named for that.
Alternative Name: Darktail/Stormtail. Both prefixes are for a darker-colored tabby, which I'm assuming he is (if not, please correct me and I'll pick some different names), and -tail refers to a cat who can balance and climb up into the trees with skill.

Character Reasoning: There's no real personality here I can properly review, but I do have some material to work with, so I'll offer a few suggestions.
He could easily be someone who tends to be oblivious to anything but the task at hand, and have a generally pleasant and helpful attitude that earns him a lot of praise and admiration, since he takes every order and problem with a smile and doesn't seem to stop working. He might have a lot of energy, or seem to never tire, and all of his day is spent hunting, patrolling, and repairing dens. He may not be one for apprentices, or kits, and doesn't think much about anything but his dedication to the Clan and how he can make it better. (Which, granted, would make him a -heart cat, but still.)
