I don't think Bettas get pregnant....they spawn and lay eggs immediately after from my understanding. They are most likely just extremely overfed and that is why they are dying.
Figured I'd update you guys on the fish I currently have since I've gotten new ones and some have died.
In my 75 gallon (which I am aware is overcrowded, stocked it years ago before I knew) I have Jesse the Ribbontail Goldfish (had him since January 2012), Coda the Fantail Goldfish (had her since January 2012), Cyan the Shubunkin Goldfish (had her since January 2012), Blizzi (had her since April 2012), Jade (had her since April 2012), King the Black Moor Goldfish (had him since July 2012), Akame the Lionhead Goldfish (had him since August 2012), Cagney the Bristlenose Pleco (had him since February 2012), Zowie the Chocolate Albino Pleco (had him since April 2012), Noka the Black Khuli Loach (had him since April 2012), Carmel the Khuli Loach (had him since August 2012), Fudge the Khuli Loach (had him since August 2012), and my snail too Slender the Golden Rabbit Assassian Snail (had him since February 2013).
Then I have an empty 20 gallon. I might use it for a Leopard Gecko or two gerbils though.
Then in my 15 gallon end table tank I have Skye the Powder Blue Gourami (had her since July 2012).
Then in my other 15 gallon I have Caesar and Pirate the Glass Catfish (had them since June 2012).
Then in my 10 gallon I have my African Dwarf Frog, Ripple (had him since June 2012). I also have another 10 gallon with Boris, my Eastern Painted Turtle in it.
Then I have four 2.5 gallons with Bettas in them. I have Lunar the Half Moon Betta (had him since June 2012), Axel the Double Tail Betta (had him since December 2013), Rune the Crowntail Betta (had her since December 2013), and Ryuu the Half Moon Dragonscale Plakat Betta (had him since March 2014).
I also have four 2.5 gallons that don't currently have fish in them, but one doesn't have a filter.
My little sister has a poor Veil Tail Comb Tail mix Betta named Ice in a 1 gallon bowl -.-
