Blackcry’s expression mellowed and he took a few step backs. “I don’t know. What should we do about him Gingershade?” he asked. “Should we punish this intruder?” he added. He looked completely serious, but he was only playing around. There was no way he would ever hurt a kit for keeping itself from starving. That would be too cruel. Blackcry’s blue eyes met Gingershade’ss and he sent her a wink to make sure she understood that he was only fooling around.

“Robins,” Autumnflower answered and looked down at her apprentice as they made their way away from camp. By now, the sunny morning sky had become a grayish blue, and cloudy. The fiery colored she-cat studied the sky, but didn’t get too worried. “I’m going to teach you a good technique for catching Robins, but we won’t have a lot of time. It looks like it might just rain soon,” she enlightened the apprentice and padded on.

Gingershade cast a grin at Blackcry, but hid it from the kit. "I think we should kill and eat him," she meowed, a hint of an amusing tone in her voice. She wasn't usually the one to joke around, but since Blackcry was with her, she didn't want to seem like she was no fun. And besides, this was pretty hilarious with the kit's surprised expression.

The kit's eyes widened as his jaws dropped. "Oh no, please no!" he begged anxiously. He wasn't the brightest kit around, and would easily fall for a prank or joke. He didn't recognize emotions that well, not the amusement or playfulness in one's voice. He could be around a depressed she-cat, and be totally oblivious to her feelings.

Blackcry chuckled and crawled in close to the kit intimidatingly. “I agree. I think we should eat him,” he said and drew even closer. “Ready? I’m going to eat’cha!” he growled playfully and snatched the kit by its scruff. After quick eye contact with Gingershade, he dashed off in the direction of camp.

"No!" the over-grown kit screamed. As the strange tom picked him up, the kit unsheathed his claws and tried to make a blow. But it was nearly impossible, since he had not been trained correctly. Well, he'd been trained by himself, but once again, he's not the brightest tom around. "Where are you taking me?" the kit asked, his voice a little calmer. Since the weird-smelling tom hadn't ate him quite yet, his heartbeat decreased into a rhythmic, casual beat.

Blackcry didn’t bother to try and speak while the kit was dangling from his jaws. His words would only come out in muffles. He was running at full speed back to camp, and when the entrance to his destination came into view he slowed down. The black tom trotted into the long log entrance an entered the clearing. “This is where I’m taking you,” Blackcry said after he placed the kit down on the ground.

The kit raised to his paws after the jet-black tom placed him on the soft ground. He took a breath in awe as he saw a bunch of cats scattered among the place. "Do you live here?" he asked the tom as the ginger she-cat he had seen earlier padded into camp.

Rainpaw wasn't so worried about Spottedpaw so much; she was trying to nurse her own wounded pride, however selfish it might seem. When she reached camp, she stashed the herbs in their correct places and took her time to sort through everything so it could be even more so organized for Sheepbelly. She lay down by the entrance to the Medicine Cat den, so she could watch the cats in camp and be ready for anything that might happen.

Blackcry nodded and caught sight of Gingershade as she came into camp. “Gingershade,” he meowed to her, “Could you take this kit to see Rainpaw? I’ll need to warn Brownstar about him. I’ll see what he thinks we should do.”
