Rainpaw trotted from the woods into the camp. She sat down by highrock.

"Lionkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lionpaw. Mousefoot, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Me, and you have shown yourself to be Brave and Loyal. You will be the mentor of Lionpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." She waited for them to touch noses then continued.
"Heatherkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Heatherpaw. Rushfoot, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training, and you have shown yourself to be Courageous and Trustworthy. You will be the mentor of Heatherpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." After that, she continued again, she sighed in relief when she knew it was the last one.
"Emeraldkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Emeraldpaw. Mapleheart, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training, and you have shown yourself to be Trustworthy and Brave. You will be the mentor of Emeraldpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her."

Heatherpaw stared in shock and glanced at Lionpaw. She stood up and walked over to Rushfoot, whiskers quivering with excitement.

Rushfoot bent down and touched noses with Heatherpaw. Her tail swished behind her.

Mousefoot touched noses with Lionpaw purring before chanting the Apprentices new names "Lionpaw! Heatherpaw! Emeraldpaw! Lionpaw! Heatherpaw! Emeraldpaw! Lionpaw! Heatherpaw! Emeraldpaw! Lionpaw! Heatherpaw! Emeraldpaw!" He chants

Pixelstar then leaped down from the highrock with a gigantic leap. She landed on her paws, and called the new names. "Heatherpaw, Lionpaw, Emeraldpaw!" She cheered.

Lionpaw smiled with delighted joy, and glanced over at Heatherpaw. He leaped over to Heatherpaw with sheer excitement. "Can you believe it?!" He laughed.

Crowfur flicked an ear. Why hadn't he been chosen?

Heatherpaw grinned. "I've been waiting for this day for, like, forever! Just think, next we will be warriors!" she said excitedly.

Rushfoot smiled at Heatherpaw's and Lionpaw's excitement. She walked over to Mousefoot. "Should we show them around the territory?" she mewed, just loud enough for the apprentices to overhear.
