"That's great! I really appreciate it, seriously," Kaoru responded, glad to have seemingly put the brunette a bit more at ease. Heck, he even got a smile out of her! She really is a nice girl. I'm sure she'll warm up to us all eventually, he decided in his head, in step with Hinata as they entered the engineering classroom. Seeing Daiki and Kaede - apparently the star students of this particular class - take their seats up front, he proceeded to secure a pair of desks right behind them for himself and his partner. Because, apparently, pairing up in this class was a usual occurrence, with the exception of Akira, who didn't seem to be either bothered or unused to working alone. Pulling a standard black notebook and a blue pen out of his backpack, which he had set aside on the floor once more, the teen prepared himself for what would most likely be a period spent taking semi-vigilant notes which he would review later. Mostly because he couldn't be certain his mind would be there the entire time spent doing the actual listening and learning part. See, he wasn't exactly the most rapt individual out there when it came to things that didn't suit his interests. Not that learning about the history of transport via train sounding boring, or anything like that. Actually, history was probably his best subject, which is why he felt better the moment it was announced as the lesson's main focus. He could do that, sure, especially if he had Hinata there to help him. Perhaps he would even be the one offering assistance, although he honestly expected it to be more of a mutual partnership for the lesson. As the teacher began, Kaoru picked up his pen, opened up to a fresh page, and starting making quick little notations of anything he found of importance, annotating points of interest that he would want to look up later on the side with tiny asterisks.

Just as he finished rewriting something that he had previously crossed out, caused by his even less extravagant than per usual and currently barely legible handwriting, he saw a tiny slip of paper make its way onto the edge of his desk. He looked at it for a curious moment, just scrutinizing the neatly yet hastily folded white sheet as if analyzing its purpose for being there. Reaching out his left hand, however, he discreetly snatched it up and unfolded it with the fingers not presently carrying his writing utensil, but not before quickly glancing around to find its source. Daiki seemed a bit distracted, while Akira had a similarly folded piece of paper on her desk to the far side of the classroom. Probably Daiki, then, as everyone else appeared to be at least trying to pay attention. Although, he supposed that the engineering expert could afford to take a small break from something he most likely already knew. After all, they had only gone over the beginning of the lesson, and the Sakura student probably heard of whatever was being lectured about before. "Would you mind going with Akira to get groceries for Sakura? Tell Hinata I need her to help me with setting up your rooms, with me and Kaede." Ah, so that's what this was all about. Doing some routine shopping didn't sound all that bad, and it presented him with the chance to get to talk to Akira without looking like he was coming onto her, or something equally mortifying that would ruin his image. Ripping a page out his notebook as quietly as he deemed possible, he folded his own note and sent it back in Daiki's direction. Inside, he had written: Not at all, sounds like a good chance to get all of my favorite snacks. I'll let Hinata know you want her help in the dorm rooms. And, doing just that, he flipped over the note the charismatic teenager had given him earlier and quickly scrawled out: Daiki and Kaede need your help setting up our rooms in the dorm later before passing it over to the desk beside his.

More than glad to get into engineering, he followed Daiki to the front of the class, giving a friendly wave to the more than bright teacher that hosted the class. Before Kaede could even sit down in the front seat Daiki has nicely picked out for the both of them, she noticed the engineer longingly staring at the scientist. What a freakin, mofo. She lightly chuckled before sitting in her seat and taking out her journal which mainly contained writings of physics and formulas with sketches of small trinkets. Kaede wasn't much of an artist, yet she was pretty experienced with drawing small things and items, she was jack crap terrible at humans and animals, pretty much anything that wasn't including her profession. Whilst listening to the teacher's explanation of how a certain train railing pressure against the line that connected the trains to a certain point, it was obvious Kaede could hear the rustling and folding of paper. Kaede turned around seeing Daiki and Akira seemingly passing notes, along with Kaoru. She thought to interrupt it, only to cut off by her common sense. Kaede blinked and faced back towards the teacher. You guys better tell me what you're talking about you freakin mofos.

Seeing as the assumption of him sitting next to Kameko came to everyone else's mind, there really wasn't any argument and Miki had no problems with it. It did make him a bit sad to see Akira, which he presumes to be the the hacker, sitting all alone. A small spark rushed through his mind and a small smile spread on his face. He took out his notebook and quickly wrote down, Make Akira happy. Goal set. Miki placed the book away and sat back to watch the teacher begin his whole thing on trains. This was a class was engineering, which didn't peek Miki's interest at all, yet Miki didn't want to be the one completely ignoring class on the first day, it was a new school after all. Making sure not to tempt himself from starting to do something else, like ponder more ideas of the story he plans to make, Miki got his bag and threw it over to the side, to where he would have to get up and walk over to get it. Because this was a small class, and everyone was focused on sitting in their seat, he dared not to stand to get it again. All his eyes had for salvation was the markings of the board of the drawn train and labeled parts of such, all having their own summary by their teacher. Through the duration of the class, it interesting Miki enough not to fall asleep, or to actually focus on the parts of the train.

Kameko nodded to Miki as he sat down beside the younger writer. He yawned and put his head on his arms which he had folded neatly on the desk. He couldn't stand this part of the class, it was only when it came to the drawing side of things that he was interested, but now wasn't one of those times. Staring blankly at the teacher, he found himself becoming more and more distant by the second, and soon he was dozing off with his head on his arms. A few seconds after, he began to snore softly, head on the desk and arms falling limply by his sides. This was a common occurrence and so the teacher didn't seem to notice now, whereas when he first started to fall asleep in the boring class, he was often jabbed in the side by said teacher who would so rudely wake him from a perfect slumber. Muttering something about obscure references to Renaissance paintings, Kameko still slept shamelessly in the small classroom. He was soon sprawled across the desk however he was rudely awoken by the sound of another student slamming their ruler down on the desk. Sitting up abruptly, he seemed reluctant to work for the rest of the class, a clear disappointment and annoyance in his expression.

When Akira got Daiki's returning message, she looked over at Kaoru and Hinata. Most likely, he had wanted her to interact more with the newcomers. Kaoru, probably because she had made such a frank first impression to him and Hinata. But, from Daiki's not-so-obvious over-friendliness towards the girl, he would pick Kaoru. No doubt Daiki wanted to hang out with Hinata more; she couldn't blame him. She was quite pretty, if you were to go by the normal standard of beauty. And besides, Daiki had gotten his heart broken in his first-year, by a girl that everyone could see was faking it except for him. Oh the glorious stupidity of that boy. It never ceased to amaze Akira how one so intelligent - an engineer, for goodness' sakes - could be so blind to the world. Well, what's done is done. She caught his eye for a moment and nodded slightly, agreeing with his choice. Sometimes, she did like to baby him a bit.
As class went on, she dozed off, doodled, looked at the diagrams, and occasionally picked up a word or so from the teacher. The people that taught the Sakura students were mindful of the disinterest certain people had in subjects. As a matter of fact, from experience, they mostly didn't mind. The majority of the different classes for them were to broaden their understanding of each other's professions.
As the bell rang to signal the end of class, Akira stood up, grabbed her (what else) black bag, and walked over to Kaoru, who was next to Hinata. She gave Hinata a little amused, knowing look (it was about Daiki but of course the sweet scientist didn't know that) and turned to look at the Musician with a clear silver gaze, underneath her black fringe. "Want to head to the grocery store right after school, or drop off your stuff at the dorm? It's your call." Daiki would probably cringe inside. Blunt as usual. What a candid sort of individual. But Akira reckoned that Kaoru was maybe overwhelmed by the school system - maybe it would be good for him to see the Dorm first. None of the new students had seen it, right?

Daiki had a disturbing thought in the back of his mind. Kaede was an inventor and a rather perceptive girl. Had he seen her direct interest in Hinata? Most likely. Was she going to interrogate and snatch the information out of him? Yeah, most likely as well. He inwardly sighed, and looked ahead at the teacher and continued to take notes, trying to make up for the distracted time he had spent folding and reading notes. He looked back at one point to see Akira nod quietly at him. He smiled - hopefully Akira would get along with Kaoru and maybe she'd remember that he especially liked takoyaki. There was a takoyaki stall next to the grocery store, all of which were 10 minutes away from Sakura.
When class ended he saw Akira go up to Kaoru and nodded to himself approvingly. That girl was slowly but surely getting ahold of herself and her social skills. Anyways, she still had Kameko, Kaede, and him to help her with things. Kameko and Miki also seemed like they were getting along, which was good. Kameko and Akira made a good pair and they were always helping each other with whatever needed to be done, but it was good to interact with new people. While Akira and Kaoru went shopping, the rest of them would have to set up the new rooms for the students. Mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, blankets, and unpacking would have to be done. Daiki stood up and started packing his stuff. He beckoned to Miki, Kameko, and Hinata. Kaede was already with him. "When school ends today, we all have to pitch in and help set up your rooms. While we do that, Kaoru and Akira will go shopping for our meals for the next two days. How does that sound?" Daiki was actually secretly planning to take them all out to the Aquarium this upcoming weekend - it was newly opened and no doubt it was going to be enjoyable. Hopefully they could all become better friends. "Oh, and also remember that the rooms for girls are downstairs and the rooms for guys are upstairs. There is a single bathroom on each floor, the bottom one obviously for the guys and the top one for the girls. You guys will see for yourselves when we go there." He would leave the introducing of Sakura Dorm for Kaoru to Akira.

Action: Taking notes, reading Kaoru's note, listening to Daiki

Hinata quietly entered the classroom, walking just a little beside Kaoru, who then chose the seats behind Daiki and Kaede. A little unsure, she sat down, and grabbed a notebook and a pen out of her bag to take notes. The teacher began talking about pairing up and asked if there were any volunteers to work alone since there was an odd number of students. Usually, this was the part where Hinata raised her hand. In the past, nobody really wanted to work with her, unless it was something they would get a grade for, of course. It was a relief to have a partner even before class started this time, and she didn't even have to ask someone herself! It was such a good feeling. She smiled softly at Kaoru, and began to take notes when the teacher began speaking, carefully writing down every detail, even if it didn't seem to be of much importance. She didn't really have an idea what to expect on her test, after all.

While she was busy taking notes, something white landing on Kaoru's desk caught her attention. Sending notes to each other? That was not something she would expect from a bunch of top students... She was curious to what was on the note, but decided to ignore it and focus on the class instead. She kept an eye on Kaoru, who wrote two notes, the first one for Daiki apparently, and he then placed one on her desk too. Watching out for the teacher, she obviously didn't want to be caught passing notes on her first day, she grabbed the piece of paper, held it under her desk so the teacher couldn't see, and opened it. It read 'Daiki and Kaede need your help setting up our rooms in the dorm later'. So, that was what all of this note passing was about? Couldn't they just ask her after class or something? She looked at Kaoru, nodding lightly. Sure, she could help. Or rather, she was glad they asked for her help, it made her slightly feel she belonged with them. With a soft smile, looking forward for the time after school, she continued taking notes.

When class ended, she put her notebook and pen back in her bag, and swung her bag over her shoulder. Then, Daiki began to speak to the group, explaining a bit more about their plans and the layout of Sakura Dorm. Girls downstairs, boys upstairs. Alright. She had been excited to see Sakura Dorm since she heard she would be staying there if she passed her entrance exam, and now she even got more curious. After all, it would be her home for the next three years, if everything goes as planned. She never had to live in a dorm before... It sounded scary at first, but now she learned what her dorm mates were like, she was actually looking forward for it.

Kameko was barely awake by the time he left class to meet up with the others. His eyes wandered around his surroundings as he listened to Daiki speak. "Yeah, I understand."He replied with a hum, sniffing the air as he caught whiff of something delicious, he licked his lips slightly, but managed to restrain himself from heading off. He never did like cleaning, but now he would have to make an exception he guessed. Tidy the rooms for a new student? Leave it to Mr. Clean and Tidy Kameko, the messiest student on the boys floor of the dorm. He had half-finished sketches carelessly strewn about, all over the floor and cabinets, so how was he meant to know how to organize a bed when his own one was always a mess no matter how hard he tried to make it. His eyes seemed to light up slightly when he was trusted to do the task with the others, it had been a while since he was allowed to help clean, because when he did clean...he always just sat back and watched after about ten minutes after getting tired of it.

As quick as time goes for actually enjoying learning about certain subjects, Kaede softly closed where she was taking notes and placed it in her bag, along with all the other supplies she needed for the class. When Daiki started talking to the other Sakura students about after school, the thought hit her. That's right! Her welcome gift! She lightly smiled by the thought of it, making her giddy. Yet they still had to go through the whole day. The inventor huffed and made it around the other desks to going to the next class. She was thankful the engineer would tell them now, considering that if he told them after the day was done, they'd spend more time in the school, with nothing to occupy watchers but themselves.
Hearing that she would help out showing the newbies around the Sakura Dorm, and help set up their stuff, seemed fine to her, no real excuses here. She felt a more than fatigued feeling after leaving Sakura Dorm, it always felt so homely and comfy. After 2 whole years being in it, of course she would grow attached. Before she could touch on the subject of her first year, she clenched her teeth to throw off her mind, knowing she'd rather not touch on such a horrible and lonely year.
Making sure to stick near the group of the other students, Kaede thought about the new girl added to their room, Hinata. Hinata seemed like a shy and cute girl, she has to admit, and wouldn't seem to make a fuss as much as Kaede or Akira would. On the point of Daiki and Hinata, it was... Fuzzy. She meant it by they probably won't make it to first base, considering Hinata, if she knew her well enough, would like taking things slowly. But then again, Kaede didn't really know Hinata at all.
The inventor made her way out the door after Daiki ceased on and she made her way to the next class.

As slowly as the end of the class came, Miki was almost blinking with his two eyelids at different points in time. He caught his sleeve and thoroughly wipe his eyes to try and wake him up, as soon as he pulled away his sleeve and noticed Kameko nodded off again, throughout the class Miki wanted to push the artist to wake up, but every time he would proceed to, the teacher got to them first, with a more than acceptable loud noise to Miki to wake up Kameko. After a while, the writer gave up trying and just as quickly lost interest in the class, seeing Daiki and Kaede almost wide awake and diligently taking notes, oh wait. Daiki was taking quick peeks at Hinata. Oh. He chuckled and just continued to stare at the white fuzz that was the board, the words were blurred and the teacher's face along with it. A small idea shot across his mind about this, but his hopefulness tried to ease the situation, hopeful it wasn't what he was thinking.
The class came to an end and Miki stood up, just like anyone else in the class and listen closely to Daiki's orders. Aw crap that's right. Because they didn't have time to check the Sakura dorms earlier, he needed to take a train back to get all of his things from his previous occupation. It almost killed him to know he'd have to explain why he was leaving afterwards. The writer huffed and continued with his day.
