Well, he had managed to block her kick. If only she had caught him on the head. "Crap!" she thought. He had caught her leg with one arm and sent the tanto her way again. Probably because of her lack of strength when striking, his grip was lose. He probably assumed she couldn't break his hold. That, or she had done a small amount of damage. Gritting her teeth, she let herself fall until her back hit the ground and jerked down hard, freeing herself from his grasp. If she managed to surprise him well enough, he would end up falling and she'd use that time to get some distance between them. If he kept his balance, she would take out her dagger and thrust the blade upward directly at his neck.

Daisuke Yoshino - Frozen Fang - Knight

The red-head disguised as a boy with black hair while in game had noticed that more and more players were showing up. He grinned from his spot at the top of a watch tower, where he had crouched so he could get a bird's eye view of the town. After he had left Holy Castle, the archer soon got himself a steed and a better bow. Then, he had went and gone level grinding. A monstrous snake with two heads and a deadly, venomous tail had been his target for hours. The wicked barb provided poison, which he could put on the tips of his arrows. This way, he grew stronger and he wouldn't have to buy the poison from a shop. Now, Daisuke made his way down from his perch, where Xanthos, his fire-red horse waited below. Climbing into the saddle, he urged the horse into a trot and entered the gates of the city. Right away, he noticed two people that stood out from the rest; a boy with white hair and another boy with dark, brooding eyes. Those two were the type to keep an eye on.

Kenshin Murakami - Kami - Knight

Murakami sat down in the shade of the chimney, his hood pulled over him, something he had recently got at a shop. It was good for concealment, but still, he felt another pair of eyes resting on him. Where, he didn't know, but it seemed he wasn't the only one to know the difference of the players around him. He had to be careful. His eyes averted back, connecting with a dark haired boy in the watch tower. A shadow covered his entire body, almost invisible. It's him alright. I can feel it.



Mahiro Fuwa - Horatio - Samurai

Horatio leaped back as she broke free, landing neatly on his feet. He cleared his hair from his left eye, revealing a red eye, different from his other eye, which was green. His eyes were emotionless, and unreadable. He let his bruised arm hang limp by his side. "Doing the calculations, you've probably assumed that my grip was loose because you thought I was overconfident. The pressure of the weight was purposely put on you to compare your strength and skills. If I'm correct." A smirk crossed his face. His tanto was stuck rigid in the tree, but he held his daito in his sheath. Horatio didn't bother to get it anyway. "Play with me for a little bit. I've planned far ahead already." He held a string in his hand and tugged it a little. Suddenly several small shurikens flew at the girl." Earlier, he had doubled back into the forest. An paronoid feeling had crossed him, and by intuition, someone was going to come by. "Horatio. The name is Horatio."

So he had been testing her. What was this guy about? Was he one of the few intent on becoming the ruler of their home planet? Not like it mattered to her anyway. A ruler only held so much power outside of his kingdom's walls. She didn't reply, noting the way his eyes were two different colors. That was rare. And made for a good way to remember who the person was. Rina was caught off guard as the shuriken came flying at her, and two of them clipped her shoulder before she overcame her surprise and dodged the rest. They were small and numerous, but with her speed and thin frame, she could easily dodge them once she knew they were coming for her. That was one of the advantages she had that other's did not. Agility. It was her strongest attribute and matching her speed would be next to impossible for any of the players unless they focused solely on increasing their own speed just so they could overcome hers. The last shuriken zipped her way and one hand shot out, almost too fast for the eye to see. When she went still, the small, star-shaped blade was shown resting between her thumb and index finger. "You'll have to be faster than that." she commented. Now that he wasn't so close, Rina decided to use her speed to her advantage. She threw the shuriken at him and backflipped into one of the trees, vanishing from sight. "I go by Onyx. Good luck. Maybe I'll see you in the throne room one day." were her last words before she had taken off through the trees. Before he could react, she would be deep withing the forest, back the way they had come. His chances of finding her would be next to zero, and assuming he was trying to become the ruler, she doubted he would waste time trying to go after her. She wasn't in any rush to get to the next village. Besides, collecting some more poison barbs didn't sound like a bad idea.

"Dante"

The one who had concealed his face with a hood had noticed him. "Definitely need to watch out for that guy." Daisuke thought to himself as he rode down the city streets. His next stop was going to be the blacksmith's, where he hoped to turn the barbs he had collected into a powder he could use to coat the tips of his arrows. Not many would think of this. And it didn't seem like there were many archers in the first place.

"The difference between a hero and a coward is one step sideways," he muttered to himself, deflecting the shuriken with a half unsheathed daito. "And I, will be the hero." The girl skipped away into the forest, leaving him alone. "Onyx, huh? I'll be sure to remember that." The smirk crossed his face again, and he ran out of the forest, down to the village below in the valley. He had collected his tanto and shurikens before that, keeping the tanto sheathed in the scabbard strapped to his back and the shurikens in a small pouch that hung by the side of his waist.

Rina was no coward, by far. She just knew how to pick her battles. Against an opponent who's strength greatly outmatched hers, she knew she could not win. And strength was something that boy had. Horatio had said he was going to be the hero. He certainty had the makings of one. Who knew? Maybe she really would see him in that throne room one day. She was sure she would see him before that, though. Perhaps she could get a little stronger before then so that she was at least a bit more on his level. Rina smirked to herself as she battled and defeated the dozens of snake monsters she had lured into one place so she could level grind. It was very likely that their paths would cross once again. "I look forward to it, Horatio."

Akemi Moon - Samurai
Akemi sat on the edge of her bed, reading the information regarding the new game she had purchased. A full-dive system that allowed you to control your own avatar; it seemed to rely on a mixture of in-game skills and real-life knowledge.
She could hear her name being called by her grandmother, but she ignored it; something she had begun to do rather frequently. With a smirk gracing her lips, the girl lowered the gear over her head and lay back on the sheets.
"Link start!" her voice said clearly.
Immediately her vision was overcome with a multitude of colourful lights and a system's check; when she opened her eyes, a hologram was asking for various information; she chose the name 'Akemi Moon', chose to be a samurai, and set her password. Not long after, a light surrounded her, and she was transported to the Holy Castle.

Akemi shifted her gaze around at the various other players that were simply milling about; unlike them, she had played a virtual MMO before, and knew the basics of how to get around. Using her left hand to open up the status menu, she chose the option to be teleported to the home planet of her character 'race': Hoken of the East Star.

As the teleportation light dissipated, she decided not to waste any time; she left the village and went out to the fields outside. Opening the status menu once again, Akemi equiped the starter sword, scowling at the terrible stats it held. As soon as she could, she would be getting a replacement.
With a sigh, she moved deeper into the field; a few wolf-like creatures moved at her in a pack, but they were relatively easy to dispatch. Stopping, she looked around at the lay of the land; off to her left, she saw a forest. To the right, mountains. Straight ahead held more fields.

With a quick look around the halls of the dorms, kizune walked into his room, locking the door behind himself. with a smile falling over his creamy soft face kizune smiled and walked over to his bed and layed down on the blue blankets. he took a deep breath and placed the helmet over his head. taking one last deep breath kizune smiled and turned on the program for this new game. as he felt his mind transport into the world of RRO kizune though about what it would be like. after a moment of silence a robotic voice started to talk to him, asking him multiple question. the first questions he answered was what he wanted his username and type to be. "Kizu Angel. solo player, samurai," he said with a sighed. After a second he felt himself seeing through the eyes of a character, his character. with a smile he reached out his right arm, and then his left. "this is amazing" he said to himself quietly. at last the program transported him to the Holy castle where a bunch of characters where popping up. "I hope you all ready to be beaten" he said coldly and stared out at everyone.

bouncing up and down on her bed yuki waited impatiently for her new game to come. she heard her mother call her about the new game and yuki jumped up running down stairs. "Yes," she screamed with joy and dashed upstairs again. running down the long hallway of the mansion yuki swerved into her room and slammed the door opening up the box. smiling she plugged in the helmet and sat down on the bed leading on the backboard. she took a deep breath closing her eyes and entered the world of SAO.

Opening her eyes again yuki looked down. it looked like she was standing on nothing. "my name is Chi Yuki. a Knight of the Midnight guild. the codes I have are 227MHRK8 and 86MYTK90 and 687MGA9T5H" she said calmly. with a sudden burst of air, blue armor appeared on yuki's body. she held her hand up and a golden sword lay there. smiling yuki moved her fingers to go to the menu, as she did so she clicked Enter Game.

suddenly yuki found herself in a new world. she looked around seeing guys and new players looking at her and the fancy armor she had on. smiling yuki walked over to the guild sign up and unfolded a paper that was in her pocket. she layed it on the table and smiled. "the Midnight guild sir" she said to the shop keeper. the man looked at her surprised. he told her that was for longer players only and she just nodded. "I know. my older brother runs the guild, his name is rue yuki." the man nodded and entered the information and handed her the paper back with a crystal. "this will take you to the guild." she nodded and walked away to the Holy castle to meet her guild and everyone else

(star - Everyone is just logging in, but Horatio and Rina have already run into each other and had a one-sided fight lol. Dante noticed Kenshin, and Kenshin noticed Dante. They both want to be the rulers (I think he does too lol) of the Knight's world. As far as everyone else, they'
ve only just logged in, as ya can see ~)

After some exploring, Shion finally found a weapon shop and went inside. There, a woman was standing behind a counter. She looked quite strong, however, her armor was a bit... questionable. It certainly didn't look useful in battle... Oh well, that was normal in RPGs, wasn't it? "Hello handsome young man, welcome to my shop! What would you like to buy?" she greeted her customer. Shion stared at her for a bit, then began to speak. "A sword." he answered. The woman began to ramble about all kinds of swords she could create for him, but Shion paid no attention. Instead, his eyes were focused on a sword hanging on the wall; it had a black blade, and a beautifully decorated black handle. The boy walked towards the wall, to give the sword a closer look. This was the one. The sword he wanted as a part of him, the one he would conquer RRO with. Due to it's deep black color, he would nickname it 'Obsidian'. Safaia and Obsidian, the unstoppable duo feared by the entire population of Oshu and Hoken. Together, they would win any battle, no matter what!

His little fantasies were interrupted when the woman asked if he had made his choice. "This one." Shion answered softly, without any emotion. "Are... are you sure? That one is created for decoration purposes only, it's not made for-" The boy interrupted her protest. "Yes." he said, once again with a soft, but determined voice. The woman sighed, wondering what was wrong with this boy, as she grabbed the sword, handed it over to the customer, and named it's price. Shion gave her the money, and with his new sword, he left the shop. "Thank you for your purchase, I wish you good luck and please come again!" the shop keeper said. "Bye." Shion answered bluntly as he walked back outside. Now, that was that. He bought his first weapon. What was the next step? Most players would be looking to join a guild now, won't they? However, Shion had no interest in joining one of those. Working together with other people... No thanks. He figured it was time to become stronger. Do some training, defeat a couple monsters, something like that. He began to explore the village once more to find a place he could train, until he saw someone in the distance... Another player?
