Swiftheart limped over to the deputy's spot. Where was AshClan's deputy?

Hawksnow licked her ear before padding up to sit with Swiftheart. He dipped his head in greeting and took a seat.

Timberfoot wasn't paying much attention to the gathering anymore. He was busy yanking out clawfuls of grass.

Swiftheart nodded to the new deputy. Sorrow, wariness, and grief was still evident in his eyes as he turned to his leader and dipped his head. The deputy had come only to see her off, and now padded back through the trees.

"Are you ok?" Swiftsoul had padded back to sit by the lone warrior.

[Cradily]

Timberfoot whirled around to glare at Swiftsoul. His round amber eyes pierced her pelt. "Yes. Why wouldn't I be?"

Timberfoot's gaze darted from Swiftsoul to several other cats in the clearing. "Timberfoot," he said at last.
