- - -Living with the gang is easy for me. I try to stay on good terms with all of them and am supportive of everyone in the group. It's the other gangs that have to watch out for me. Who knows when I'll come knocking at their door, ready to fight? Judging from my looks, they would never see a fight coming. That was my main system of stealing cars back in America - find a guy who looked gullible enough to believe that I was a teenager on the run looking for a place to stay. Once we were in the car, it didn't take long for me to punch him out and drive away with his vehicle, usually quite an expensive one. I was always "too pretty" to be capable of something like that, as the leader said when we first met.
- - -Mmm, the leader of the gang. If only he would see me as more than just a friend and confidante. I am so utterly loyal to him that everything I do for the gang I do with him in mind. There is no one else I would rather steal with and I trust him with my life. That's saying something, especially since I see myself as someone who is independent and self-reliant. I don't mind helping others (in fact, I almost force them to let me help them), but one sign of them trying to help me and I'm gone. I'd rather just do it myself. Unless, of course, he comes up to me and offers to help with something. In that case, why not? It's not hurting anyone (except for maybe his ex).

- - -What are you staring at? Never seen a gun before? Oh, you've just never used one? It's simple really - you take it in your hand like this, raise it so it's at shoulder level and press this trigger here. Make sure you've flicked the safety off before, otherwise you won't get much of a result. That's it really. After that, all you do is watch your victim bleed or run away from the scene of the crime. The former is usually what I do; the latter is for cowards.
- - -You've got to be tough if you want to survive in Brazil. My parents died when I was young, so my older brother had to take care of me. It was his toughness and ferocity that got us through and I'm more and more grateful for it everyday. He was the one who introduced me to "the mama" and she took me in to her gang, saying my skills with a gun would make me a fine protector for the rest of the gang members. Now, it's my duty to accompany them on heists or to meetings with others gangs in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. I keep my hand near my gun at all times and that usually seems to send the message to the other group that I'm not joking around. Keep looking at me with that skeptical look on your face and you'll soon learn that too. Better turn and leave while you can.
- - -Wait, no, don't go! I'm... I'm not sure how to say this, but what you just heard me say? That's really all just a facade. Sure, I'm good with a gun, but that's from years of practice out of necessity, not because I want to hurt people. In all truth, I'm more likely to turn and run from the scene of the crime than watch blood being spilt - the gushing of that red liquid makes me sick. I can't even shoot at someone without closing my eyes. It's a wonder the bullets ever find their mark. Truth is, I'm afraid of letting anyone know all of this. What would happen to me? What would the gang think? I can't let them down, I'm the only protection they've got. It's a losing battle, but I've got to keep this mask on, for my sake and for theirs.
