Nitro Indigo wrote:^ 03 = 2003. The first anime. The one with the miniskirt line. The one that makes talking about FMA confusing (especially on TV Tropes) because it doesn't have a subtitle and the Truer to Text anime does. The one with the ending I hate.

OH okay. XD Makes sense, but I didn't know when the original came out. For me, it's always been FMA and FMA:B, so I couldn't figure out where the 03 was coming from. Personally, Brotherhood was my favorite, but I watched that version first, so it stuck in my head a little better.

I like Brotherhood more as well, but I watched it second. I used to think Brotherhood was a sequel. DX

Has anyone else here seen Haibane Renmei? I found the series really interesting since while I sometimes like slice of life anime, a slow paced story about a bunch of angel girls is really not my type of show, yet this show has become one of my favorites. I'll admit that it was a bit slow for me when I first watched it, and honestly, I found it just okay until I saw the last episode. However, once I finished the whole series, I really loved it. While I'd found it slow at first, I rewatched nearly the whole series only a couple weeks later and got a lot more out of it the second time. I think it's a really interesting show since it covers some darker topics and the concept of sin and redemption while remaining fairly uplifting overall. It has a lot of symbolism in it that can really be interpreted differently from person to person which I think makes it appeal to a lot of different anime fans. However, I've noticed that a lot of people drop it early on since it is pretty slow paced (if I hadn't read reviews of it beforehand, I probably would've dropped it at the first episode). I just thought I'd check to see what others think of it since it's pretty different from what I normally watch, but I still really enjoyed it.

Does anyone know a (preferably) shounen anime which is around fifty episodes long? I just ditched SAO, and I'm just looking for an anime that'll grab my interest in the same way FMA03 did. I want to get into an anime knowing barely anything about it.

EDIT: The first image... that joke never gets old. X3

I feel like going on AnimeHere for nostalgia purposes. Back when I started the unpredictable awesomeness that was FMA03... ;-;
Speaking of which, does anyone know where I can watch FMA03 English dub online that isn't the Adult Swim version? In other words, an English dub with Melissa as the first opening song? FUNimation's YouTube channel only has the first four episodes dubbed.
