Go to My Pets, at the bottom of the page you should see a "My Account" section with two options;
    > Create a new group to organize your pets
    > Change pet display settings

Choose change pet display settings and edit your settings. You have the option for a rarity bar, or plain text.

  • Username;
    My username is britneyrox. You can just call me Britney if you'd like.
  • Why should you be able to adopt a newbie?;
    I've been active on CS since 2010. I have experience with helping both newer and older players because my inbox is always open to anyone who needs help. Helping, in fact, is something I do very passionately. I've helped with BBCode many times in the past. I host an adoption center, along with rare giveaways almost daily and monthly list pet giveaways. My experience with helping & teaching people stretches outside of CS, where I have learned to be patient and as helpful as possible by tutoring math to people both my own age and younger.
    Aside from past experience, I am qualified to adopt a newbie because I am passionate about CS and thoroughly enjoy being a member of the CS community. It's such a great place, and I want to make sure that it can be as enjoyable for everyone here. This community, to me, is truly so special. I've learned so much from my time here, and I am looking forward to passing that knowledge on!
  • How often do you get on CS?;
    I log onto CS each and every day. I am usually available for several hours each day of the week.
  • Which categories would you like to apply for?;
    General Knowledge; Being a member for approximately 4 years, I've become acclimated to the community and the technical workings and ins and outs. I definitely feel comfortable sharing general CS knowledge.
    Forums; I am a frequent user of many of the boards on CS. I meet the minimum post requirement and am familiar with all of the features of the CS forums.
    BBCode; My BBCode knowledge can be seen around CS. An example can be seen through one of my characters, Ezra. As I mentioned above, I am very comfortable explaining the workings of BBCode to CS members. It is very simple to learn and teach, especially since I am also semi-fluent in Java.
    Trading and Pets; I am an active trader here on CS. While it's not a requirement for this position, I usually give quality advice about the fairness of trades and know where to direct people for additional help when I don't have the best answer. I am familiar with all of the topics listed under this position.
  • How long do you typically spend on CS each day you get on?;
    Throughout the day when I am online, I am idling and refreshing every half hour or so to check PMs. I'm online for several hours each day, though I am usually doing other things as well during those long stretches of time. If you check my post history, you can get a general idea for how often I am online, which is typically several hours.
  • Do you agree to be helpful and polite to your newbie at all times?;
    Of course. I make sure to be as helpful and polite as I can be to everyone at all times. I am very patient and am willing to explain things in many ways without getting frustrated, as I know CS was confusing to me when I first joined.

    Thank you for the great opportunity to join this thread, I'm looking forward to lending a hand and making a friend.

How do we know if we've been accepted to be a Newbie Adopter?

You'll be added to the list, and whenever we update we quote the forms and say whether you're accepted or not. Almost everyone is always accepted though unless there is something missing in the categories your applying for, like a roleplaying example, or the Rarites section if you don't pass the tests.

If you were to not be able to answer a newbie's question, i.e it was to hard or very complicated, what would you do? I haven't been accepted yet, but if I am I just want to know for when I get one.
i've quit CS,
thank you for the nearly 4 years that i've been on this site!

What areas do you want explained?: the area that I'd appreciate being explained is general knowledge, to develop a feel for the website and take things from there.

Do you speak another language, and if so which one?: N/A

How did you find Chicken Smoothie?: I found the website by chance while I was searching the web for random things that'll amuse me.

What do you like best so far?: I've honestly spent more time on the Adopt a Newbie forum then anywhere else on the site, so by far the best I like is this forum. I've looked over several of the posts applying to be adopter's and the feel I'm getting is that this community plays on helping one another which I think I'll highly enjoy.

Any questions?: I don't have any questions atm, but surely will within 5 mins. of searching around the site, after I post this reply.

I have helped my newbie and they haven contacted me in over a week to ask for help. So I am posting this to be put back on the list.
I have been increasingly busy as of recent, so I apologize to those who post with me if my replies are super slow. Not sure if or when they'll be back to normal

What areas do you want explained?: I was on here ages ago, but I've forgotten so much... For the most part, general knowledge and trading. Particularly trading. Tis confusing, and I think I may have already made a bad one. XD
Do you speak another language, and if so which one?: I dabble in Spanish, but other than that, no, English is my native tongue.
How did you find Chicken Smoothie?: A friend told me about her CS account a couple months ago and reminded me it existed, so I came back. =P
What do you like best so far?: The people and the horses. :lol:
Any questions?: None that I can think of. Can I offer you a big fat thank you for anyone involved in this though? It appears to be a really cool little program!
