"You told me you weren't hunting anybody right now except Discord." Ranger said.

"You may hide in the forest now, Cat, if that is what you wish to do. I'll be back soon enough..." said Storm. Then she turned to Ranger.

"Yes, I know. What do you think I'm hunting now?"

[zoomzoombadaboom]

Shadow Bolt didn't gasp like other ponies would. "I don't care what you've done or how you've done it." Shadow Bolt's eyes narrowed. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be on my way."

Shadow Bolt was mildly scared inside, and wanted to leave Ponyville. Jerk. Shadow Bolt thought.

Discord decided not to give chase; that pony was not worth his time.

Of course, if that blood-crazed pinto comes back, that may be a problem. But at least it would be exciting...

Shadow Bolt started to fly off, but then stopped in her tracks and looked back at Discord and said "I thought you said it was hard for me to lose you when you're hunting."

[Shadow of the Insane]

"I paid for your protection. Now do your job."

[Tom Bombadil]

"Yeah, but you're too easy. I like to have at least a little of a challenge. And besides, I'm expecting someone much more important." said Discord.

He could sense Storm Clouds was on her way...


(Meanwhile)
Storm Clouds tossed the gem back to Cat.

"I have other jobs besides playing nursemaid to a foal. And the one I'm about to do came before you even appeared."

"Oh... Discord, I guessing." Ranger answered. That could be bad.

Shadow Bolt started to fly forward again. "He knows nothing about me." Shadow Bolt whispered. "Not yet."

(Does Shadow Bolt have a secret? Now I'm intrigued!)

"Precisely," said Storm Clouds to Ranger. "Now if you will excuse me, i have work to do."
