Storm was in a good mood at the moment, it was a nice day, it wasn't too hot or too cold out and the sky was mostly clear except for a few, puffy white clouds here and their. The buckskin drank from the water, and once his thirst was quenched he lifted his muzzle from the water and looked around. He saw a few bands in the distance but they were not a threat to him and Rodeo. Hearing a whinny, he flicked his ear and looked over to Rodeo, who was merely resting in the water. Flaring his nostrils slightly, he could tell that her scent was a bit stronger but it was still a bit weak for him to ask for a foal. The young male then stepped inside of the water, once in the water hole he used his front hoof to paw through the water, causing it to splash around.

Quick question: do mares still mate after they have a foal?))

(Yes, they can go into heat again a week after giving birth, they can have more than one foal throughout their lives)

Rodeo lifted her head to striped face towards Storm, seeing him taking steps into the water, pawing at it. Suddenly a splash came from the stallion's pawing and Rodeo half reared playfully, landing in the water, splashing herself and him. She snorted and was fun lovingly jumpy, wanting to have a game of tag. She nosed his shoulder and lipped it before running out of the water, looking at the stallion with a playful gleam. She snorted and tossed her head and half reared again and nickered to him. She tossed her mane again, enjoying the game. She pranced slightly, waiting for him to join in while flicking her tail. She flicked her ears every which way in excitement as she gazed on at him.

Storm pawed through the cool water, though he stopped and flicked an ear towards Rodeo when the mare did a small rear, causing the water to splash against him and Rodeo when she landed. When she lipped at him and run out of the water, the stallion let out a soft snort and was beginning to get playful. He shook out his dark mane and did a small rear, and once he was back down to all fours the buckskin stallion turned around and pranced towards Rodeo, his ears pricked as he moved. Once he was out of the water, he broke into a canter and moved after Rodeo, wanting to catch up to her as they were playing tag.

Rodeo listened to Storm's soft snort, quivering with excitement. Rodeo snorted and whinnied at Storm when he reared, enjoying his company and the tag beginning. Seeing the stallion break into a canter when he was out of the water made Rodeo snort and toss her head, briskly prancing and playfully bucking, watching where it went. She reared up again and loped around the watering hole, looking at Storm gaining ground on her. The mare tossed her head and went into a gallop, happily running along. She waited to feel Storm's maw on her withers or hip.

Storm followed Rodeo, moving at a steady canter. He was enjoying this little game of theirs, he tried to play with the other stallions before when he was a bachelor but they often just wanted to spar or they would snake him around and pretend that he was a mare, which wasn't really fun for the buckskin. He would occasional buck playfully as he ran, though noticing Rodeo speed up he stopped and broke into a gallop. He charged after Rodeo, the chestnut mare was faster than he was but he was doing his best to catch up. He was slowly growing closer and closer to the pretty mare, his black mane and tail flowing behind him like a banner as he galloped.

Rodeo tossed her head into the air, listening to Storm behind her. The mare stopped suddenly, to avoid a tree, which she sniffed first before turning around and galloping back closer to the edge, then going along the way again. She thought of the days when she was with her mother and in a herd. Those days were boring being an only foal to an entire herd of mares and a stallion. Romeo splashed in the water's edge, unintentionally.
