Leia smiled at him, her blue eyes reflecting the moonlight. She laughed softly when he was straing at the tree, and shook her head. "Fascinating" she repeated, her tail wagging ever so slightly. However, when his knees started to shake, she took a step forwards, concern etched upon her snowy face. "Hey" she murmered, pressing her nose against him to gain his attention. She could tell that something was bothering him, but she didn't know how else to gain his attention so she reached up and nipped at his ear. "Back to reality?" she asked, her eyes still brimming with concern.

"I--I...I just can't take it!" he sputtered, his eyes still tightly shut. "I see them all the time...their faces as the guns blast them to pieces, their screams...I...I was only a pup then! I don't know how I survived, but I did...it's like a wound that will never heal, a broken bone that will never mend, a chasm that opened in my heart that will never be filled..."

Gloom shuddered, and found himself leaning against Leia. He opened his eyes, and stared into hers. She was whole, unbroken...like a calm breeze to his inner storm...

Darkness looked at the two, somewhat of a smirk on his face. He looked at the two, "Would you do me the honour of you both coming with me?" he asked smoothly.

"Oh of course!" Ebony gushed, smiling her most winning smile. "I would absolutely love to go!"

She probably should have been a bit...irritated by the smooth way he was acting, but such an emotion was beyond her. No, it was only unconditional love or unbridled rage with Ebony.

Roman sighed happily, trying to ignore the hunger clawing at his stomach. Eventually, he gave in, and stood up, looking around. he saw Artemis infront of her cave, and trotted over to her, grinning. "Fancy a hunt?" He asked, nodding his head towards the forest, his strange gold eyes meeting hers.

Leia remained silent, but supported his wieght with no complain. She smiled softly at him, and then pressed her head against his shoulder. "I understand" she said softly, placing her paw ontop of his for a second. "Don't blame yourself, you mustn't. Can you remember them before that? If you can, focus on that part, remember your happiness with them" she replied, her eyes locking with his.

Startled at Roman's sudden appearance disrupting her daydreams, Artemis nearly lost herself. Gathering herself swiftly, she began to see her chance. "Of course," she said, a small, almost shy small on her perfectly shaped face. Her heartbeat quickened as his golden eyes met her own stormy, tinged with a sapphire blue ones.

Roman smiled quickly, and then started to trot towards the forest. "How have you been then Artemis?" He asked as they dove into the shadows of the forest. He looked back at the wolf, and smiled again. Her eyes...they caught him, drew him in. Fascinating.

Artemis gad to think for a brief moment, as she had been too captivated by the handsome wolf that was at her side. "I've been well, if not quite bored," she admitted. She was cloaked in the shadows of the canopy formed by the leaves on the large trees that loomed overhead.

Roman chuckled, for he too hadn't had the most enthralling few days. He slowed down, and lifted his nose into the air, catching the scent of deer. "Ladies first" he said with a grin, nodding to where the deer scent led.

Artemis carefully arched an elegantly shaped eyebrow in one smooth gesture, though it was wasted since her face was hard ot make out in the thick of the trees. "You want me to get one all by myself?" She had the capability to do so, being perfect and all, but it was always nice to have a partner to help. Especially one like Roman, she thought. She wouldn't really mind if she was expected to one down herself though; it was one of the ways she could prove herself to him.

Roman chuckled, and then nudged her with his head. "I'll be right behind you" he said, grinning toothily. He walked around her, and peered through the trees. "There's one over there" he muttered, his voice growing quieter, his ears flicking for a second.

[spiff]

Artemis fought to keep her voice straight. "All right then," she said, her voice low and soft, to be whisked away by the breeze that floated through. "Here goes." The deer Roman was pointing out was a young doe, oblivious to the beautiful but deadly wolf downwind to her. She let her muscles ease into a stalking position that she had done many times before, and cautiously began to creep up behind the doe. Her heart hammered in her chest and she froze as the deer suddenly looked around, ears twitching. She relaxed a bit again as the doe continued on her own business. Gritting her teeth, she loosened her muscles in a quick movement and landed squarely on the deer's back. The doe's legs buckled under the unexpected weight on its back, and began to buck and flail wildly, Artemis hanging on grimly.

Roman watched her, and when she pounced, he hurried to catch up with her. Pausing for a second, he too sprang onto the deer, his claws digging into the deer's hind legs, teeth closing around the base of its neck. It wasn't the best aim, but at least should stop it from flailing around. He felt the deer fall from beneith him, and he landed ontop of it. His eyes flicked to Artemis, and he tightened his grip on the madly kicking deer.
