Snowshine looked at the cats surrounding her her leg still burnt from the fire but she hunted fine. Her light blue gaze followed to the entrance of camp.

LionFlare nodded to CedarStar. His ears flicked, remembering the vivid fire around him. He glanced at his pelt, which was stained with ash from the flames. His back leg was burnt badly, but he got around easily. His light blue eyes flickered, and he yawned. He nodded, agreeing with Cedarstar. The prey would certainly be cowering around the marshes, looking for undamaged herbs or insects in the marsh to scavenge on. Right?.. He thought to himself. His gaze flicked to the camp entrance, waiting for the signal to go.

(Haha, Yep. Drama. Lol.)

She sighed looking at her burnt chest and paw her ear singed with ash. Snowshine used her tail to poke at her burnt leg seeing if it still hurt. She winced "Wow why would I do that.." She thought to herself.

-Many moons had passed since her last encounter with a pack of cats like this, none survived long as many wandered off to their own business at some point. Yet, she tried to make the best of it for her own sake since living in a group required less hunting for herself and tending to her own wounds. Being taken care of wasn't what she was looking for, the back of a warm den was nice all year round.

-His eyes rested on the glimmer of the lake as he lay in the sand. It was beautiful at dusk when the sun set, but he'd have to wait for that kind of magic to come around. He imagined the rosy pink color flooding the blue sky and turning the clouds purple, like they always did. He loved it, but it was rather lonely around the beach. No matter what side of the lake he was on there was not a single soul.

As the gray tom heard murmurs of consent around him, he stood, ready to leave. "The marshes it is then..." His heart fluttered quickly, and he prayed that his clan could find something to eat there. As he began to pad towards the exit of the clearing, he spotted Jaypaw. We'll need all the cats we can get. "Jaypaw!" He called to the lonely apprentice. "We're leaving for a hunt, would you like to join?"

Fawnstep nodded, and padded after Cedarstar. "Cedarstar, when do you think the forest will grow back?" She again avoided eye contact, but surprised herself by actually talking to other cats. She stared ahead, and shook her head, flicking a bug off her ear. "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked. It's hard to tell" she cursed herself for asking such a stupid question, and continued to stare at her paws. The bright sun made her sweat as she walked, but Fawnstep tried her best to look strong.

She poked around all the burnt plants and sighed she couldn't find any herbs and sat down on a pile of ash and licked off her stained paws and stood back up as she stood up she shook the ash off her rump and walked back to camp empty pawed she slowly walked into camp she didn't know whether she would report no herbs to CedarStar or just keep her tongue to her self and not complain like a grumpy kit
