Silverkit was bouncing around the camp and went to the entrance to watch voles and mice crawl around. When she chased a butterfly, she saw Cherryshade's body and let out a wail.

Cheshirestripe had been out hunting, two mice swinging from his jaws as he stalked back to camp. As he reached the entrance, grey fur lit up in the moonlight, he spotted the body of a cat laying on the ground, a dark crimson pool around her. He dropped both pieces of prey and let out a wail of fury, hurrying up to the dead she-cat. Cheshirestripe pressed his nose to her shoulder fur. "Another cat!" he hissed.

Falconflight heard the wail and quickly came over. He thought to himself,"I knew it wasn't Silvercloud... oh no, what's happened to Silverkit?" He reached her and found her and Cheshirestripe standing next to Cherryshade, dead. Falconflight meowed,"Oh no, not another... Silverkit, did you see what happened?"

"No, I was chasing a butterfly then I found her!" Silverkit said.

Cheshirestripe lifted his head and spotted a slit on the she-cats neck. "some cat clawed her." he said solemnly, shaking his head. "it wasn't Silvercloud." Cheshire's tail swished over the ground, stirring up the leaves. "who do you think did it?" he asked no one in particular, a gentle sigh escaping his mouth.

Waterstar was worried if ThunderClan had exiled the wrong cat. Her gaze swept over the cat's in her clan. Once she got a sight of Cherryshade, she instantly got up and ran over to the cat. "Not another one! Does anyone know what happened? We need to find the killer before the whole clan disappears!" She meowed. "Falconflight? Do you have any idea who did this?" She asked the warrior.

Falconflight shook his head and replied,"Sorry, but I don't. I just asked Silverkit the same question."

Silverkit pressed her nose on Cherryshade's pelt. "I have proof I didn't do it. She's cold, and the blood is drying up." She said.
