Oekaki Weekly Challenge - thoughts please?

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?:
4-5 times??
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: 10 days would be better for me and WIP drawings
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Nah, it would get annoying.
Or, we have two challenges per week, an old one and a new one.
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season) There okay, I'd like something like "where do you see yourself in 20 years" "how many __________ do you own?"

5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? I think they are cool.
6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it: I don't use it because my computer blocks me from using Java on chicken smoothie and I don't knoe why. I really want to though.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?: Yes! I think I've only joined a few times, sadly. I often forget to check; if I made a habit of it, I'd take on the challenges much more often.
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: I'd say it is.
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Yes; I remember seeing some cool ones I couldn't join in on that I'd love to see brought back.
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season): I love the themes so far! They're not too specific, but not too vague either; perfect to let them imagination run.
6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it: I don't use it very often because I have a hard time drawing in Oekaki. [I know all the tricks and all, I just fare better off with SAI, haha.]

4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Yes, I often find myself thinking "Darn, I really wanted to draw an aardvark character but I missed because of Winter vacation!
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? Many I really liked, like the lemon challenge (OWC #3, I believe), while others I was much less into, such as the design a character based on the season challenge

yes, quite a lot actually.

nope, i have not been able to join a weekly challenge.

i think we should have three weeks to a month for each challenge, especailly during the school year when lots of the people who visit this site are super busy.

that would be cool. there are some of them that i really wanted to do but never got a chance, so it would be cool to see those reused.

i think they've all looked fun, and, well, challenging! i've only ever started a few of them, but the ones i did start on really pushed me because most of them aren't things i'd usually be drawing.
6. If you're someone who uses the oekaki but doesn't use the weekly challenge board - tell us why you don't use it:
i've started on a couple and actually have them in my unfinished drawings, but i never have time to visit them. i'm always busy because of school and babysitting, chores and homework, etc. so i never have time to do fun little thibgs like that.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?: I know I did once, and I feel like I might've done it twice but I didn't save it. Silly me.
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: I feel like it's a bit too short depending on the challenge, some challenges should be extended at least one week.
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Defenitly! Maybe change them, for example I did. Give your fursona a new hairdo, instead we could slice it up and do, give your fursona their dream hairdo, or in a salon.
5. What do you think about the themes we've used so far? (some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season): overall they're pretty good, nothing over the top and to the extreme but some could be boring.

2. Have you ever posted art in the oekaki weekly challenge board before? If so, how many times have you joined the challenge?: I think I've done 2 or 3 challenges so far. I always forget about them, or get so busy that I have no time on top of other things I like to do on CS to get to draw something for them. n.n"
3. Do you think that the oekaki challenge time limit (1 week) is enough time? If you think it's too short, how long do you think each challenge should last?: It's too short. By the time I remember that the theme changed, I don't have time to make anything or think of anything to make. Maybe a month? That might be better.
4. Do you think the old themes should be used again sometimes for people who missed them?: Yes please! <3 I missed so many because I got too busy to do them.

(some examples were to draw your fursona as another species, or to design a character inspired by the current season) The themes have varied greatly and I think you've given plenty of different options for all ages and skill levels to try, not to mention different interests.

There was a website I used to go on called "Flipnote Hatena" and they did something extremely similar to this. For example, if it were spring, they might have the theme Garden or Flower or something. Once, there was a theme for Glasses!
Something like that, perhaps?

Hmm...I joined at least 3 or 5.

1 week and 2 days. Sounds decent.

Yeah, I missed a lot. Lots of people have missed them, so it's a good idea.

Pretty cool, like the one where you drew your dream pet. I loved that one, Zacherie's entry was awesome.

I really had to check this out, since I was am one of the average artists posting in the Oekaki and not designing pets. I think that it's a great idea, Tess. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS SITE.
