Guys, can we stop talking about the Zebras? Please? They technically aren't even a May pet -- from the sounds of it they're back in the monthly adopts for an indefinite time like they used to be.

They are May pets since they are in a litter that was released in May :3

That doesn't make them May pets. They're re-releases. Not monthly adopts.

But they were re released in May which kinda make em one.

Ok, I'm confused. Is there an actual zebra in any way, shape, or form? Please can someone clear this up for me?

By that logic they'll also be June pets. And July pets. And August pets. And September pets. And basically everyone will be spamming the monthly thread every month for the rest of forever.

...Is going to go the same way as the PPS lion from last month. Pretty much everyone posting on the May swaps thread is asking only for that pup.

No, it doesn't. They may be doing this every month or every other month. We really don't know yet. All this zebra talk is taking away from the *actual* monthly pets.
It almost makes me think we should have an "OMG ZEBRA" thread just for that.

This, I think, is a good thing to see, however, since you said that there was no mention of new outcomes:

it's not certain yet, but it is a definite possibility that we may include the zebras (as ultra rare outcomes) in future horse/pony litters like we used to do a few years ago

the rarity for those outcomes was always so high that it was basically like winning the lottery if you got one, there were only a few zebras per month, so it shouldn't affect the rarity noticeably

however, aside from re-releasing the existing outcomes we will probably make a new zebra outcome or 2 for a special occasion so that everyone has a chance to own a zebra pet (like when we updated the unicorn linearts and released a few special unicorns not long afterward)

That mentions releasing them on special occasion, i.e. holidays, not monthly. It also mentions doing so like they did with the unicorns, which means having them on their own line-arts through the whole thing, and having them be a common outcome so everyone has a chance to own a zebra pet.

Anyway, the little green PPS BW is so cute. I'm so curious about the decision to make the BW babies all look different... it would be so cool if all the cocoons were a tiny bit different, too! Aaaah, and I'm missing quite a few of the second gen pups this time around, too... at least I have a couple of that question mark pup. I'll probably wait for everything to grow before I try trading, trading for newborns is just too stressful.
