Favorite Dressage Horse & Why Donnerhall - He was an Oldenburg stallion, winning not only several gold medals, also in the world equestrian games, but also winning lots of hearts. Donnerhall was known for his movement and his good character. In this term I have to say that I also love his progeny. You can tell what a foal of his is and that's something not every stallion can say of himself. Sadly he died in 2002 due to a complication. When I was still very young I got to see him when my aunt took me to an international competition and she said I grinned all the time while he was the arena. He was a truly exceptional horse, competing during a time when "Rollkur" or hyperflexion wasn't as present in dressage and I still loved to watch the competitions. (It hurts me to see how dressage horses are treated nowerdays and I'm not into watching dressage that much anymore, although I ride dressage myself.)

Favorite Dressage Horse & Why Parzival
To be honest, I'm a western gal. I'm learning a bit of Hunt Seat, and some of my friends do Dressage, so I don't know tons. So I did some research! I wanted to look at a horse that was popular, but not so much that I seemed too mainstream. After some searching, I got to a page about the 2012 Olympics Dressage Silver Medalist. The ones who took home the individual silver were Parzival and Adelinde Cornelissen, representing Netherlands. I became interested in the pair, particularly Parzival. He is quite interesting! I love him, all from his personality to his fluent movements. I love to watch videos and see pictures of their performances and hear their story. They might've only grabbed second, but I still love them! Parzival is an extremely handsome, talented stallion and I look forward to seeing them possibly make a reappearance in the Olympics!

Favorite Dressage Horse & Why Valegro, I first saw him perform in the 2012 London Olympics and was instantly captivated by the way he moves. For me, being more into the races and cross country side of my horses, I never really associated with dressage till that year when my family decided to expand to some dressage trainings. So, I watched the horses and just feel for Valegro now I'm falling for this boy. :)

This boy caught my eye because of his appy spots, and his beautiful movements. He is a 16.2 hand leopard appaloosa with loud coloring. "Pay N Go was also decorated with The American Warmblood's highest award, the "5 Star Recognition Achievement Award" for outstanding performance scores, and was inducted into the Appaloosa Sport Horse Hall of Fame." He also beat Eroupean Warmbloods at their own game. Pay N Go was made as a breyer horse to.
