what will you do with your characters when you 'grow up'?

i will never let them go.
i'll probably be that weird old lady down the street that has her imaginary friends and pictures of characters plastered all over her walls and spends her days drawing them and roleplaying.

No. The reason as to why is I'm someone who likes to earn my money, not simply be given it. I love each and every one of my characters and giving them up would break my heart. I mean, sure, it could help me financially - but if no one offered in the first place I'd still be having to earn money to get by and depending on the job the wage could be minimum to medium - and to me, I'd rather get used to having little money and just getting by than having a lot of money only to get used to having that large amount only for one day it being taken or all spent. It's like saying to JK Rowling if you could by Harry Potter - It's most likely going to be a no than it would be a yes for any amount you offer. My characters are a part of me, a part of me I've given a physical form, likes, dislikes, a personality - and I'd rather be broke and happy than rich and wishing I had my characters back.

Have you ever regretted buying a character?
Yes, I have. Times like this is when I look back and see the characters I simply brought because they were up for adoption, not because I connected with their design.

what will you do with your characters when you 'grow up'?
I will probably keep them. I mean there are authors out there who have had characters since they were children and now they're in books and most authors are now getting paid due to their character's stories being something that others love to buy and read. Of course, I do not plan on writing stories of my characters to sell, meerly that I'll still continue to love them in my older years.

What do you do when someone gets part of a design on your character wrong?
The majority of the time, I tend not to say anything. This is either because I'm to shy to point it out, or the character looks similar to their design anyway. Most of my characters have complicated designs, so I tend to not really mind if someone got their design wrong or not. ^^

Yes. I bought a character that had a lot of art and I loved him before but now, he won't sell and I don't love him as much. I've just retired him.

Pfft, grow up?! That's not going to happen I'm leaving for Neverland with all my characters.
Although, most of my characters I quite mature, like Butler and such or are based off of things I enjoy so I might sell some of them but not all.

Yeah most likely, it's a lot of money even if I put it back to pounds. I replace characters all the time and my favourites alternate between like five of them.

Oh gosh yes, I've got a few that I paid loads for but they're to complex or something to get art of of do anything with really.

well, i would probably sell them, or give them away to people who would love them.
i would much rather leave them in the hands of someone that would do something with them and have some extra cash, instead of letting them rot somewhere in the depths of the internet. uvu

So like I finally got off my lazy butt to draw the new character I bought from Mehigan ages ago

I still have no idea what to call his 'species' xDD
But I did decide on a name!
Originally I thought of Akaine. But then it was too common for my liking and so why not put a pun in it as well. Akaine became Akanine (A-canine? getitgetit? *W* -bricked-)

Hm... No. Spotty gifted me once with art of Shanarah, my Platypus. And I got Ice Storm from Wesleydog. Both my fursonas mean a lot to me, I don't want to sell them, they are a part of me.
Besides, I prefer to really work for my money then to just get it this way. Then I can say I really deserve it.

Yes. I bought one on DA, loving it. But later, when I wanted to upload it to my weebly I lost the connection. So I donated it to a character adoption agency, where it can be adopted for free. Luckily I didn't pay much for it...

What will you do with your characters when you 'grow up'?
Ehm, to be honest... I already grew up Not really adult, I am in my twenties, but still. I still love CS, I still love doing art. It's a fun way to relax!
But if I decide to stop collecting them I will most likely donate them to an adoption agency.

What do you do when someone gets part of a design on your character wrong?
If it's minor I'll just ignore it and give them a war thank you.
If it's something that really catches my eye, I'll probably say I love it a lot, but if they could edit it a little. If not, then it's alright

Very hard question XD I mean... my sonas are everything for me, but i have also financial problems and my familly is big, so in very bad situation i would sell my sonas for good amount of cash. But for now, we have where to live, so no. Not right now xD

Yeah. I love all characters i am buying, but sometimes i regrett because i have too much characters and im not having enough time for each one. I should be rather selling characters than buying news |D

Heh, im already a bit old, so... i don't think i will ever 'grow up' to lost my love to OCs.
But who knows the future? I belive i would give them for nice people who i know would love them.

What do you do when someone gets part of a design on your character wrong?

Depending on size of the mistake. If it's very small mark i ignore it. To be honest... who care for my OCs markings besides me? If it nothing troublesome for me, them im doing nothing.
But if the marking is important for me (sometimes my OCs have small marks that measn something for me) then i ask the artist if they are able to change in. Usually they agree to do it, so it worth to ask!

I think I would decline. Money means a lot to me, but the memories and connection with my characters means so much more. It would physically hurt to give some of them up. The possibilities for characters are amazing, and if I got the money I would probably spend it on something that would either break or end up worthless in a few years.

Already there 0.0 I've been told to give them, and this site, up by family members, and to "grow up". I don't feel like these are something I need to grow out of, drawing and writing are hobbies, and involve my characters. They give so much joy, I can't see me giving them up or selling them. I have less time for them now than years ago, but it's still enough for me.

What do you do when someone gets part of a design on your character wrong?
(If I notice at first) I will tell them and ask politely for them to change it, since errors can bug me about art. I often don't notice at first though, and it's only when I go to add it to my site that I do. So if its one of those I just leave it and be happy with the art.

Of course not.Yes, so so many times. Normally the point ones, which is why I've stopped browsing on da.
