My gut drops to the floor. History? Ha. No. Not in this lifetime. If she knew...well, that could be bad. I smile though. "You go head." I say, motioning to Africca. I turn to Corlaline slightly on my barrel. "While, I'd love one, I'm right 'fraid it'd drop in my stew!" I smile and lean back slightly on the barrel, trying to look relaxed. Really, my gut was cletched so tight I almost couldn't breath, and I struggled to maintain an even breath. What would I say when she asked about my history? I couldn't exactly tell her I was a prisoner on board for pirating!

The boy gave him a nod, "maybe the times had changed, right?" that's what people usually said, after all it was different the things happened some years ago, like when Fender was a kid then today, and so Hail guessed he would have better opportunities... Or not. Well, the smell of food caught his attention then, his stomach growling softly, "hum... I smell food~" he purred looking around for the way down.

"Stonies are the minority on Sparium, but yes it is in another galaxy. I haven't been home since I left to become a spacer and don't know when I'll see it again," Mako replied softly with a shrug as he finished his stew, swallowing a massive mouthful that forced his throat to expand in order to get it down. It was a trait known to Nagas where several snake characteristics still existed for the species.


Vanric grinned saying, "Nah, don't worry about it. You'll see more new species on this trip. And, believe it or not, but I was in the same position as you. When I saw my first human, I was about as freaked out as you were about me."

Lets see,I'm Africca and I'm currently the chief engineer on this boat, I'm originally from the planet Osiris, have two older brothers who are.. Intellectuals, we will say. Hmm.. I can't think of much else, simce Zi'be spent most of my life tinkering on one thing or another My history is rather short."

She then shifted her gaze back to Coraline to answer the suggestion of a bracelet "I would love one of tour bracelets, but it will be difficult for me to wear as well, jewlry has a habit of getting caught in things." She frowned, while she had never been very girly but she did like to have something pretty to wear from time to time. "Perhaps something along the lines of a key chain might work better? Worst case I'll attach it to my duffle then at least I'll see it everytime I need anything from my bag and every time I move ships." It would be a nice reminder of the people she had met on her journey and mark her things practicaly.

"They mus' already be cookin' in da Galley. .. I say we go see if we can't grab a bite!" Giving the lad a shove in the direction of the food smells. "Some kinda stew I recon." He might have been the youngest on his family and unwanted himself but that didn't mean he was incapable of looking out for another soul. The boy was out of reach as anything but a friend and even that felt a bit weird to him, but he could act the big brother and watch the boys back without crossing any big lines. So thought he might just do that. Not like he was apt to find a suitable lover on the boat but that didn't mean he had to be without companionship.

Captain Amelia ~ Neko
I smile. "I see." I say, finishing up the last of my stew. "I really should be getting back out. It's truly been a joy talking to you." I grab my bowl and walk from the room, back out to the deck. The sky shown brilliant blue with four cooling suns. The air was dry. "Beautiful." I say with a small smile.

"Inter'who?" I ask, brows furrowed. I hated playing dummy so badly. Kitchen hands weren't exactly supposed to be smart. "Never mind me." I say shaking my head. I turn to Coraline. "How 'bout you? You seem like a fine...mmm, what's that word...." I trail off, trying to buy myself time. I feel bad for not listening, but not as badly as I would feel to have to tell them the truth after feeding them the lie.

I tilt my head slightly. "Oh...okay..." I say softly. "Um, would you mind helping me with my bags to my quarters?" I smile and motion to the large pile by the entrance. "It would be very generous of you..."

"Stew..." he could feel his mouth watering up some and purred in delight, walking to the direction Fender had pushed him to. "So mean... They didn't even went to call us down" he huffed, tail slashing from side to side for a moment, how did they dare? Eat without calling them?! Pfft, right, like Hail was some important crew member. Haha, amusing.

"Yay!" I smile when Africca says I could make her something. I look over at Lauren and tilt my head a little. "I have no idea what you mean..." I say quietly, lifting my head up straight. I look at her and awkwardly step back a little. I felt stupid, but I didn't know what she meant. "You could mean fine like well-kept. Or fine-tip pen." I explain, smiling. "But there's also a lot of other things that you could have said so... Nevermind." I say quietly, looking her again.

"Or perhaps she meant fine as in fine young lady?" Grinning politely and trying to keep the peace between her table-mates. Taking a bite of stew. "This is lovely! .. Go on Coraline, tell us your bit then our chief will be duty bound to tell us something of herself."

Fender
" yeah, there should be a bell or sumt'n has been on other rigs I traveled on." His rail swished as they rounded yhe last corner and entered into the galley.

He could hear a set of heavy treads approaching with he thought a very light set with them, light enough to be a child.. Were there children on this boat? That might cause complications to their escape. Though he imagined that a child would make a good hostage, he didn't want to have to go that route.

"Ah!" I smile. "That's it! A fine young lady. Mmm-hmm." the sound of heavy footfalls grabs my attention. Who was coming? A large man and a small boy walk in. "Why hello! I 'sume yer here fer me stew!" The last thing I wanted was more people here. I wanted to shout, Please! Please just go away! All of you! but I had a feeling that would ruin my cover. Oh well, at least they were a distraction...

Hail nodded some, "indeed here for the ste-" he trailled off, hey that was the woman that their captain told Nicholas not to talk to. He immediately frowned, scanning the place in search of the robot who was in charge of her, ears flattened and the short fur of his tail was slightly risen. Something didn't smell good in there and he was sure it wasn't the stew.
