hey, what is everyone's opinion on wonder trade? I got a bad impression, because I got a lvl.1 caterpie and traded of my braizen, but someone I hear got a shiny magikarp, which look pretty epic as a mega gyrados. I am wondering if I should keep doing it, but it just seems a mater of luck, and I'm not very lucky when it comes to pokemon...

People use wonder trade to...

1) Be greedy and send out junk in hopes of getting rare stuff. (Sadly it's most common. You can tell because often they send out what they receive from others instead of releasing or keeping it.)

2) To gift.

3) Throw their breeding rejects in to help other breeders.

4) To get wondermiles for rare candy or pokemon for loto tickets.

5) Fill up pokedex.

You shouldn't use wondertrade soley to get rare pokemon because majority is going to be junks with some breeding rejects. I wondertrade ALOT probably wondertraded over 1000 and have only gotten 2-3 shinies. I use WT to dump breeding rejects and to get wondermiles.

Yeah sure, I have a box full I need to get rid of and it would be a waste to just release all of them.

And I love listening to RWBY soundtracks.

I've been trying to think of pokemon that match the characters. So far all I've got is female meowstic for weiss and maybe shiny absol for Ruby.

It's the same thing but instead of keeping the pokemon you get each route you trade them for random eggs. If interested there is also the wedlocke challenge (more complex search google for details) and wonderlocke (same thing but wondertrade)
